My partner and I do not live together and actually live a fair distance away from each other so I know little about his friends, family or generally what he gets up to when he's not with me.

Anyway one think I have noticed is that in the space of a year he has changed his msn address about 4 times and Ive noticed that on the forums he goes to he has changed his name on them alot too to names that would not be associated with him. It seems like he is trying hard not to be 'found' or 'recognised' on line...

Does this sound a bit dodgy to you? odd or am I just being silly?

Long distance only works if you both want it to and if you're both super-honest with each other (DP and I were long distance for over 2 years). Any doubts - you need to sit him down face to face and talk it through otherwise you'll just let resentment build up - not good.

could be positive, my friends now dh done this when he started to get serious about her. he had a few female friends whom he used to flirt and sexual talk with online, but he stopped when he wanted to get serious as to him it was a form of cheating ( how sweet is he!!!) so maybe he is just trying to get away from people he doesnt want to associate with anymore. if he is telling you his new address then i wouldnt be too worried. maybe just make a comment if he does it again along the lines of. " changed it again... god iv just got used to the last one, am blonde, or have had a child or some other jokey comment"
( ps i am blonde and not degrading them before some one attacks me)
