Am I being paranoid?

Hello all,

I have had some brilliant advice in the past and a situation now has my radar buzzing, not sure if I am being paranoid or not.

Here goes..

I met someone a month ago, seemed great, what I didnt know and he didn't say was that he had just ( 3 weeks) come out of a serious relationship.

I only now this after hearing his friends speak, and seeing messages on his phone 2 weeks ago

So 2 weeks ago, he's on call, phone beeps whilst hes in shower, read text to see if he has to go in and it turns out his ex has invited him to dinner to talk, i didn't know this, then she has had some time to think and realised its not worth it, he then goes demented? and says why would I want to be with you anyway and lists all her faults, then she writes back and says all the best

since then he hasn't been sleeping well, I can't tell him what I saw? but I am paranoid that he woud have met her for dinner if she hadn't called it off?

None of the reasons he gave listed me as a reason it was all how bad she was?

Sorry I may be over thinking, but he never normally gets so angry so I am seeing red flags here

If you feel the need to snoop through his phone at this point in the relationship then its probably best to call it off.

The fact that he is only just out of a relationship and failed to mention it would be a dealbreaker for me

Thanks but I wasn't snooping when I picked it up, thought he might have ot called in

Going into his messages is snooping, you didn't just pick up the phone, see who sent the message and put it down, you went through it, since he was only in the shower there was no need to do anything other than shout through that he had a message.

You looked, you have seen something you don't like, its only been a few weeks, just cut your losses and move on.

I'd say that a month into a relationship, you have no call on him yet. You certainly don't have the right to read his phone.

Sounds like he's not over her i'm afraid, and there's possibly some unfinished business there, sorry..
