He's a liar, i cant spend my life worrying that im constantly being lied to, wondering if he is really whrre he says he is.

I feel sick, but i cant do it anymore. He complains that i dont trust him, then lies about where he's been, where he's going etc

He's just told me he'll come for his stuff after work then he's leaving.

Oh, so sorry. Are you ok?

VitoCorleone · 08/03/2013 16:11

oh, so sorry you are going through this - there will be lots of support here for you x

hellsbellsmelons · 08/03/2013 16:19

If he lies to you all the time then there is no trust.
Let him go and take it from there.
Really feel for you and hope you are OK.
It does get easier but it will take time!

MomaP · 08/03/2013 16:20

Sorry to hear Vita.
Hand holding here.

MomaP · 08/03/2013 16:21

Vito * Damn auto correct.

BerylStreep · 08/03/2013 16:26

OK, try to stay calm and think about this. Don't say or do anything rash when he comes to pick up his stuff. Since you have 2 DC, you don't want to say stuff that can't be unsaid.

Let him pick up his stuff, then you can spend some time after that with some space, thinking what your options are. Try to step away from ultimatums.

Can you pack a couple of bits for him so that it's ready for him when he comes by - he can get the rest of his stuff another time. Don't get into discussion or argument - use phrases like 'we both need space so we can think about the future'.

VitoCorleone · 08/03/2013 16:29

If he leaves then thats it, he couldnt even say he was sorry for lying, couldnt even be bothered to fight for us.

I told him to just fuck off earlier in a text, he's now saying he wasnt leaving that i had kicked him out (coz i said fuck off)

Also, make sure you use your time NOW getting copies of financial stuff in case he tries to take it with him later. Even photos of statements, bank slips etc would be a good idea.

BerylStreep · 08/03/2013 16:30

It's not useful to discuss it now with him - you need space.

Don't get embroiled in a row.

VitoCorleone · 08/03/2013 16:32

We split up last year when i was pregnant with DS2 and i kicked him out the house. When he came back he said if i kicked him out again that would be it, he'd never come back, i told him if he ever left me that would be it.

He wont take his stuff and think about it/get space; if he takes his stuff he wont come back.

OP posts:
VitoCorleone · 08/03/2013 16:33

There is thankfully no financial stuff to sort out if he leaves, we arent married and the house is a council house in my name. There would only be maintenance to sort out.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 08/03/2013 16:35

You're doing great. Leave him to get his stuff now and be out of the house when he comes round. Don't engage in conversation or arguments. You've taken control... let him say you've kicked him out if he wants, why not?... which is a far better position to be in than waiting for someone else to decide your future.

Good luck

VitoCorleone · 08/03/2013 16:37

I was planning on going out when he comes for his stuff, i dont want either the kids or me to see him taking his stuff and going.

Now he says im "jumping the gun"

Now he says im "jumping the gun"

Hah! He is shitting himself!

His threat of "if I go then that's it" hasnt worked because you said "Ok, off you pop!" so now he is backtracking to try and stay.

Be strong.

Saltpig · 08/03/2013 18:33

Stay resolute Vito. He doesn't deserve another minute of your time or energy. You need it for you and your DC's Smile

BerylStreep · 09/03/2013 13:19

Hope all is ok?
