Feels like life is passing me by.

Just found out my sons father has just had a baby. It made me feel really tearful. For my son mostly. His father and his family have no interest in my son. I feel guilty that I chose such a poor excuse for a father for my son and I feel sad that I've been single for most of my sons life. I feel sad we have no family and I wonder if I will be on my own forever. It just feels a bit shit tonight :(

A big unmumsnetty ((hug)) for you oops.

I'm sure you are doing a wonderful job of raising your son. His father and his family are no substitute for his loving mum :)

You wont be on your own forever. This is one of those times where everything just looks bleak. Chin up.

Do something nice. Be kind to yourself. Look after yourself and your lovely boy x

Evening I am sorry you feel so low tonight but if you need to feel better creep into your sleeping sons room and take a look at his sweetness . It is not your fault his father is rubbish or that his gran parents have no input its their loss . And you will NOT be on your own forever before you know it you will be on here giving of about DH and how he drives you mad like the rest of us lol take care of yourself .

Thanks all, I'm feeling guilty now having read some really awful stories about people's lives. I know I will feel better tomorrow. I have a beautiful child and I love him. I wish I could have pretended to be happier for him. He's excited about having a sister. A night of wallowing then onwards and upwards tomorrow :)

Sometimes a good wallow is needed OP :)

It's a cliche, but tomorrow is a new day with a fresh start.
