Do I need to prepare teenage DS?

Following on from my last thread 'come to end of road with H' and all your really helpful replies, i need more advice please?

Our DS is 14 and he will be coming with me when i leave.

He is not that close to H but loves him and i will have no problem with him seeing his dad whenever he wants, so long as H doesnt manipulate him too.

Would you prepare DS in any way? I dont want him to have to keep secrets but also dont want it to be a big shock.

What if DS doesnt want to go with you?

This could all be dependent on how far you move, whether he has to change schools and lose friendships.

He will have to go with me, H works away.

We will be moving to the village where all his friends are and his school.

Sorry i didnt make myself very clear!
