how do i make my dp stand up to his mother, she talks to him like shit, she lets the kids down three times in the last 2 weeks she has said she was coming down and then rang him and said could not, she seen them for five hours since october, and that was the time she ruined dd1 first birthday party by having a go at dp
then when dd2 was born dp told his sister as didnt have mothers phone number and she didnt contact for six weeks prenting didnt no about dd2,
he never has a go back and tells her how he fell and it really getting to me i just want him to stand up for himself and us

Omg......Someone read my mind!!!!
I had a fit at dp over exactly this just last night .His mom/family constantly lets us and dd's down and have to be the most unreliable people.His mom often makes snidy remarks(when dp isnt around)such as when i was discussing my dread of returning to work following mat leave (i work afternoons)"oh yes dp will have it so hard because he will be working am and then looking after kids pm ,and he will have to cook the tea and bath them!"
Because of course i sit on my arse all day dont i?and have a friggin invisible cleaner.
Bearing in mind that i finish at 6 and then cook tea and we both do baths .Anothe rgood line-"oh where did you dream dds name/s from ,i better name the next one!!!aaaaAAhhhhh
Sorry for ranting on your rant but its a topic close to my heart(grit teeth)Anyway its reassuring that someone else feels the same ,It really is annoying when they dont stand up to them,i mean if you cant speak the truth to family who else would you?

thank god it not just me my mil makes snidy remarks as well when fell pregnant with dd2 dd1 was 5 months and she said it must have been planned cus any women would be really stupid to get pregnant in this day and age, i mean why say some thing like that silly bitch

Its quite pathetic really as they are obviously threatened by us -god knows why?What really grates though is that dp doesnt defend me or himself ,he always says its not worth causing trouble.I posted a thread based on the in laws called why do i bother?
Maybe we should start a club ?we could call it b%%£&d inlaws from f**g hell .
