Evening all. As you were.

OP posts:
luckybun · 19/02/2013 19:57

Yes was thinking Might just say let's have a quick coffee inside and then see what we want to do. (and then he can help me load the car!)

Angeletta · 19/02/2013 19:59

Luckybun welcome, what kind of a date have you planned?

Miranda hello, Grin at sending him a cat pic!

Stella I too think he will call, he wouldn't bother sounding out your friend if he wasn't serious. But probably doesn't want to appear over-eager.

Rose no I haven't namechanged, I was new here in December then didn't post anything in January so that's why you haven't seen me before. Smile

KinNora · 19/02/2013 20:00

Ben Nye is a professional/theatrical brand ( I think ) make up junkie

KinNora · 19/02/2013 20:01

I reckon I'm older than you, Ike, you spring chicken, you.

Angeletta · 19/02/2013 20:04

Lucky x-posted, agree with Juliette that the café sounds a good idea.

I know what you mean about judgey friends, my family and friends are very Hmm about OD...especially the ones who have been unhappily single for years on end.

Angeletta · 19/02/2013 20:06

Um I mean it's my family and friends who are unhappily single, not the people doing OD...not sure I made myself clear...

Nomorepain · 19/02/2013 20:09

juliette yep the model!! I'm scared but he has been texting me tonight and does seem lovely. I am a div!! A really uncool, can't take anything in my stride kind of div!!!

I always used touché éclat - rubbish. Then tried bobbi browns version which was marginally better. Now I use Estée Lauder illuminating eye cream (with a lovely ceramic tip that feels amazing!), benefit primer and boing concealer. Looks better!!

luckybun · 19/02/2013 20:11

Yep def think ill suggest the cafe then on all your good advice. Thanks

luckybun · 19/02/2013 20:12

It's not till next Tuesday so I'm a little premature!

ike1 · 19/02/2013 20:17

Thanks for that link Kin...woul like to avoid undergoing the knife if poss..

WarmFuzzyFun · 19/02/2013 20:19

Lucky cafe is a good first choice, afterall this first meet is really to just suss each other out and find out whether the online attraction translates in RL. An hour or thereabouts tops usually. Then go off and have a think unless it is bleeding obvious that you both fancy the pants off each other!

I am currently mixing MAC with Bobbi Brown as I couldn't get the shade right - I am a non white MNer. Sometimes it is wonderful, I look great. Other times I just look tired, as rest of face looks fairly youthful. So CACI you say....

ike1 · 19/02/2013 20:24

Yes CACI (CASEY) £350 for 10 sessions ...I can be your guinea pig if you like. Elecric currents are supposed to 'retrain' the muscles...well mine are probably stubborn buggers like their owner...

WarmFuzzyFun · 19/02/2013 20:34

£350? I saw somewhere quoting £750 for 10Shock

I may have to save up and make it a part of my 'beautification' process that I am planning later in the year.

FYI re:lovely guy is not so lovely after all. He had echoes of my ex, which is okay, as my ex is lovely but I don't need a repeat. (He even said similar things with identical phrasing)ConfusedSmile

WarmFuzzyFun · 19/02/2013 20:35

NEXT!Wink

I am developing a thick skin and the ability to move on swiftly without too much introspection. It's good, isn't it?

KinNora · 19/02/2013 20:35

That must be really frustrating, Warm, have you had a look at Illamasqua ? They usually have a pretty comprehensive colour range - I know this because they're just about the only company who make a foundation that is too pale for me - this is unheard of.

WarmFuzzyFun · 19/02/2013 20:45

Very annoying especially when I know that the range on offer in the UK is far more comprehensive in the US, but Estee Lauder/L'Oreal et al can't be bothered to even offer the range for non-white women online in the UK. (I wrote to some of the major cosmetic brands about this, but that is another thread I suspect)

Never heard of Illamasqua, Kin, I will have a look and see if they have anything I might find useful.

WarmFuzzyFun · 19/02/2013 20:49

Oh Kin their stuff looks fantastic, Thanks

luckybun · 19/02/2013 20:50

Thanks warm - photos look good of Mr A and he took one as we were speaking and sent it - so all looks fairly promising - he's offered dinner but I've said lets just play it by ear, after our drink.

WarmFuzzyFun · 19/02/2013 20:55

It's exciting Lucky isn't it? Reminds me of my teenage years

ike1 · 19/02/2013 21:01

I have heared of Illamasque that is a make up artists range....think I might take a trip to Debanhams for a peak.

ike1 · 19/02/2013 21:01

Debenhams

ike1 · 19/02/2013 21:02

Yeah Bun if you like the look of each other dinner is then something to look forward to. Reckon Snape has got lost in the park

WarmFuzzyFun · 19/02/2013 21:03

It is online:

www.illamasqua.com/

WarmFuzzyFun · 19/02/2013 21:04

Snape is trying to break that man - again!

ike1 · 19/02/2013 21:06

Yes I have looked at in on line but I always think its a good idea to try foundation etc on your skin...I know Debenhams are stockists in my city.
