Match.com - blacklisting a user

Does anyone know if you blacklist a user on match.com, will this stop your profile appearing in their search results?

What I was suggesting is that you post a response and ask outright rather than trawl through umpteen threads.

yes, you can block any user on match.com
the button appears on your profile,
at the bottom of the page..scroll over
the block button , select the block
button and you are DONE..
Or send customer service a mesg
and they will do this for you. DONE.
You can also unblock a user.

Really confused, match dating site doesn’t answer the question, was wondering if anyone could shed light on this?
If I have been blacklisted how can I still wink at them, and in return them me. It says in March you can’t do that...... however I know I’ve been blocked as it states when I try and message him ....

There is more to it than that. We chatted for ages and distance was putting him off3 times he backed out of meeting up. Two times he carried on chatting. The last time I told him he would have to blacklist me as it was too tempting to not drop him a line. So he did.....he seemed genuinely nice. However we have been winking at each other now every day for three weeks.... he’s also changed his profile and included stuff that I said???
I know I’m probably acting a bit sad and I know I would be saying the same if it was the other way round, but it’s driving me crazy.... I have talked nd even gone on a date with someone else, but I made myself do that really .... I think I need to just suspend my account and stop being a saddo... thinking it’s something out of mills and boon book. Just good to not feel alone I suppose

If someone has blocked you, you can still see them but you can't contact them, and they can't see you anymore

If you block someone on Match, your emails disappear, you no longer show up in their search results and they are no longer able to see when you are online.

I know that from my extensive blocking of people on there! And from the occasions when I didn't behave as I 'ought to' and found myself blocked by them Smile

Yeah I’ve just been googling zombie threads and didn’t realise I’d started one back up, first time on here. Now I know though . He blocked me though .

This is Match? On PoF, people still show up in searches if blocked, you just can't contact them. On Match, they don't show any more but you can search for them by username.

So if he blocked you it means he's searching you by username, in which case he will be able to find you, and sending the winks deliberately.

But it will only be to mess with your head, so ignore it.

Anyone doing odd stuff on online dating is someone to be ignored. There's a lot of push/pull in this which is, I'm sorry to say, not because he is in love and hopes he can be with you.

He's playing with you. And not in a nice way.

Yes I your right, he could easily unblock me if he was serious. I think I need to chalk it up to experience and suspend my account and have a break from it. Thanks for the heads up
