Hand hold please

Husband gone. He ran out of house as he punched my son age 15 in the cheek and put his hands round his neck over something stupid. My son called me at work and came straight home. Husband just said he was going as he passed me at the front garden

I have a daughter who is 12 and a boy we have together who is age 8 (he was crying uncontrollably)

I know what ii should do. We been together for 11 years married for 1 and a bit

I havent cried yet. Just numb after calming kids down x

That is awful, I am so sorry.

Has he said he's leaving permanently? Was that what he meant when he said he was going?

I would consider contacting the police so at the very least it's on file and you can take steps to make sure that he can't return to the house and refuse to leave. And for a whole lot of other reasons- if he's been violent once with the children he may do so again. This needs to be on record somewhere.

Deffo police... It needs to be on record and your DC will see that they don't deserve to be treated like that by anyone for any reason.

Didn't want to read & run but have no advice.

Have you got someone in RL you can call to sit with you. You might want to call the police to report the assault. If anything, it will mean the police are aware in case he comes back.

Hope someone with better advice will be along soon...

That's dreadful, what on earth caused this to happen? In a way it doesn't matter. You son has been assaulted and this needs to be reported to the police.
Does your dh have a volatile relationship with your ds1?
What are you going to do now?
I'm sorry OP but that would be the end of my marriageSad

I know I know.

He is DS2 My eldest works away x I just dunno what happened. My son said it was because H said he was disrespectful. I know what to do and I am gonna protect my kids its just all such a mess. I know I will be a ball of tears tonight. Im not leaving but my 8 year old wants to sleep im my bed tonight

Have you not got anyone in RL that could come round and just be there for you? Do you think he will try and get back in the house? Is this the first time it happened? Sorry for the questions im just trying to get a better picture of what happened.

I have just called my brother and he is coming over tomorrow he is totally shocked as am I.

They H and DS2 have had their arguments but this. I cant believe it

I just do not understand it. or want to.

Im still numb its like it hasnt set in yet. He of course has run to his mothers

Well done for settling the kids and staying calm. When you and your son are ready is the time to try and understand what happened and how you can best support your son. How much of this did the other DC witness?

they witnessed all of it. Apparently my daughter was punching him to get him off. I feel so bad for them
