We had a lovely thread back at harvest time supporting all the "widows". Just wondered if any of you were still around as i need to vent! The herdsman has been off with his very poorly wife for over two weeks leaving my DH doing all the milking and the other jobs. We're under a large blanket of snow. My daughter has had chicken pox and as sure as day follows night, now DS has it, so we can't even go out anywhere if we were able to. We have a 180 cow dairy unit, so DH is nowhere to be seen from 4.15am onwards except for calling in occasionally wanting to be fed hot meals.
I know there are worse things in the world, but I'm just feeling sorry for myself, stuck out in the sticks with two small children. Anyone up for a chat?
