Am I too sensitive

Hi there

I thought I'd ask this question to see if I'm overreacting.
My Husband is 38 and works in an office as a manager.

There's the usual office banter that goes on . A girl sent him an e-mail inviting him to her 18th birthday party. His reply to her was ill go if your young fit 18 year old pals are going. Well I was raging and he said it was just banter that everybody has in the work and it doesn't mean he wants another woman.

I said how would you feel if I sent an e-mail like that . He said he would find it funny.

So I was wondering what other people thought. Am I just being over sensitive.

Thanks
Ann

I'd think he was being a bit of an idiot and disrespectful. I don't think you're being oversensitive. The 18 year old probably thinks he's a bit of a sleaze?

You're not over-sensitive. For one, he's acting like a dirty old man which makes him look ridiculous.... he's not 21 any more, tell him. Second, he's meant to be this girl's manager and that's a completely inappropriate way to talk to an employee. If this is the kind of banter he indulges in at work he'll end up fired for sexual harassment.

Sorry you're married to such a stupid knob....

he sounds sleazy.

i've had colleagueas that would say things like that and they were all sleazy.

Booyhoo · 11/01/2013 17:22

and much worse once drunk. i'd worry for the 18 year old girls if your DH was going to be there.

It's revolting and deeply inappropriate - he's old enough to be her father, yuk.
