I have just been told that 'dh' thinks he is wasting his life being with me.

Have changed my name in case he checks the history - I feel so shit.

If it wasn't for dd.........

He is angry over something little like how I didnt back him up over something I said to dd this afternoon and has been refusing to speak since 5pm.

Men are arses....total babies Angry

When this blows over..have a serious chat with him about his attitude bloody cheek!!

downandout is this typical of the way things have been with you and him over the past few months?

Or is it out of character for him to go into a prolonged sulk like this?

A sulk is one thing but to say he is wasting his life with you is a bit heavy.

I don't know if this helps but it took me a long while to work out that my dh says things he does not mean when we argue. Apparently this is quite common!

It is something his parents did and he does not see it as a big deal. I see it as a very big deal - I can't stand it but I have had to accept this is a normal way to behave for him ( I am not saying I approve )

I don't say things I don't mean, even if I am fed up or angry.

Do you think you were at fault in today's incident that precipitated his sulk? Or do you think he was looking for an excuse to nit pick?

Agree with you Jasper my Dh used to do the same and I never do!!

Now he's much better now because I told him how much it hurts and that it's disrespectful even if he doesn't mean it!!

They are such brats sometimes Angry

He does this from time to time - says I am selfish and don't think - makes me worried about what I say sometimes - but i hate the sulking - my dad did the same thing and it hurts.

Maybe he just wants to hit out cos he is fed up - but its always the same thing - i really feel like getting out at the moment.
