how do you go about choosing which condoms to buy? i can take measurements before i go to the shop. they only seem to have a width measurement on them (from what i've seen). i'm not sure where/how that measurement is supposed to be made. also do they vary much? as condoms are made from a stretchable material and are going on to something which changes size, are most regular condoms the same and it's not something to get too deeply into... is it only if the member is extremely unusual in shape and size, that you need look much further into this. also do they need to have a bsi kitemark? or is the ce mark good enough?

You never know izzy. Or someone else could stumble upon the thread.

Anyway, all the sensible stuff is sorted, as you were...

Only a little snort, LeClerc? Why not have a big snifter? Wine

In which case they may not be in need of some erasers rubbers, tall.

I could have sworn I posted on this thread! Ah well, my wisdom shall remain forever undisclosed!

izzyizin · 23/12/2012 02:04

Aw c'mon, Maggie. This thread is in dire need of a indecent disclosure otherwise it's in danger of ending on LeClerc's note of 'I is a lady' decorum.

MaggieMaggieMaggieMcGill · 23/12/2012 02:43

Well, I had said I didn't think penis size did not really matter in regards to condoms, then I remembered a guy who I was seeing who did have a large one and we used to have condoms break on us all the time, so I am now wandering if there was a correlation between the two!

MaggieMaggieMaggieMcGill · 23/12/2012 02:44

*I did think that penis size didn't matter!

MaggieMaggieMaggieMcGill · 23/12/2012 02:45

In relation to choice of condoms that is!

tzella · 23/12/2012 08:43

Condom size does matter! I had a short term flingy thingy with someone with a big thick one and him not knowing or caring about how and why the condoms often ended up with a ring nestled in his pubes and shredded bits of stinky balloon having to be fished out of me was a Nice Big Red Flag.

meditrina · 23/12/2012 08:50

You can get extra pleasure ones (possibly to slow down preatur ejaculators) which include a local anaesthetic lube, and a safety warning that if your lips turn blue, desist. Hmmm - no thanks

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 23/12/2012 23:25

DP has to have the Durex Comfort Fit ones. They are a bit bigger, and don't explode quite so often! Confused

Xales · 23/12/2012 23:47

Size does matter.

I had a partner the other way. He was extremely small. They used to slip off and I would have to retrieve them.

izzyizin · 24/12/2012 00:27

Please indulge my curiousity, Xalesy... where did you have to retrieve them from?

Xales · 24/12/2012 00:37

haha can't you guess? They would slip off during.

It makes getting a mooncup out pretty easy though!

izzyizin · 24/12/2012 00:56

Tricky, that. Did you try keeping the in place with elastic bands?

A length of thin ribbon attached to the end with a safety pin should have served to make them easier to retrieve.

tallwivglasses · 24/12/2012 03:38

Ah yes, 'comfort' fit. And the smaller ones were called 'tight' fit. In other words, it's not that you're on the small side, you just like your jonnies snug.

Imagine if the wording was so sensitive for bra sizing Hmm

izzyizin · 24/12/2012 04:04

Or vice versa. Double dd tip cup condoms. Underwired. Extra cleavage. With optional chicken fillets padding. Or anti-bounce sports style.

OP I wouldn't take any notice of these silly suggestions to take a banana or whatever to the shop. You'll never get one exactly the same size and shape.

The only way to get it right is to show the shop assistant your penis so that they can check it for size. You'll find that most branches of Boots and Superdrug have specially-trained assistants who can fit the correct size for you.

Xales · 24/12/2012 14:10

Ow underwire.

They are painful enough when they come out and stab you in the armpit let alone else where!
