Ive not been on the pill in months i started taking it after ds was born but kept forgetting so decided to use condoms until I decided on another birthcontrol method. Anyway ive been put off by the coil and im hating condoms so i eventually got my ass to the doctors yesterday for the pill again. Ds was playing up so i kind of nievely said i knew how to take it. Reading the instructions it said to take on the first day of my period well yesterday was my 4th day of my period and i took it any how cus i cant wait till my next period. Ive now finished my period and so wanting to know how long till it becomes affective do i have to wait 7days. Im really dying have sex again with hubby without the rubber thingys. Would i be fertile now at this time im not sure whether to go ahead any way as another baby wouldnt be the end of the world although a few mths later would be better. I think im just really horny to be honest sorry bout the rant....Does anyone else think condoms take away alot of the pleasure?

I think you have to take it for 14 days to be covered.

not sure about the pill, too scatty to take it. but as for condoms, bought some after having dd but both dp and i hate them so much we never did open the packet, dd is 14 months and i'm 23 weeks! be warned, your never as fertile as when you'd prefer to wait a while. took 2 years to have dd, no such luck this time Wink

I was told before that its effective straight away but that was when taking it on the first day of my period. That is sods law pinkTulips. The only good thing bout condoms is no wet patches but thats it

not even pushed about the wet patches tbh, have baby wipes next to the bed and we very romantically dive on them when we're done Blush
