Just got home after a party this evening (I had to leave earlier than planned because of an early start tomorrow) it was a work function and this guy that I like asked me if my husband had dropped me off.
I paused and told him I wasn't married.
His reply was, 'no, I'm not either'

Now, I'm a little tipsy so could someone tell me why a guy would say that?
I really like him and think he likes me (we don't work together)
My first gut reaction was, that by saying this, he was telling me he was available. Have a got the wrong end of the stick here?

I have nc for this. I know some colleagues who use MN so its better to be safe.

yes, he tells you he's available - and have checked whether you were too. Isn't it obvious ?

Yes, I thought I'd just check-in with MN, it's hard to see clearly after a few glasses of wine I thought he had a girlfriend. Still not sure if he does or doesn't.

He also acted cool and aloof for the first half of the evening but super friendly to everyone else. I don't know if that was a sign too? I could feel his eyes on me the whole night
