Where do you start when you have been single for so long?

I have been single for a few years, my choice and I have enjoyed it. But now I feel ready to find myself a man, problem is I haven't got a clue where to start or what to do.

I have tried online dating which was pretty pointless...... I dont work with any men and on previous occasions clubbing/going to the pub with friends it was clear the men were only looking for one thing.

So where do you meet them? Im only 24 so its not like there is any rush but at same time a little male attention and companionship would be really nice.

I feel a bit silly for asking this question but it feels like a long time since I did this whole thing.

People tend to hook up best when they have something in common. That's why workplaces are such a hot-bed. So if you have a hobby, an interest, a sport or similar that you enjoy, pursue that and you'll meet people interested in the same thing. Gives you chance to make friends first and reduces the 'only after one thing' dilemma. Obviously helps if the thing you're interested in isn't something that's too exclusively girly... :)
