Been with a guy 4 months, realised today that I do love him.

I'm a bit drunk - won't see him again until Monday, he's just sent me a sweet text wishing me sweet dreams. I typed out "night night honey, love ya xxx" but didn't send. We havnt done the 'love' thing yet.

Should I send it whlst I can blame it on the booze if it goes tits up?

I deleted it and sent "going to bed, night x"

And I was soooooo relieved this morning when I frantically searched through my sent messages!!

I think we've all been there! You know you really shouldn't send it when you have to close one eye in order to focus on the screen.

"Love ya" is just a crap way of saying "I love you" for the first time, come on now.

Please just get yourself another drink, listen to some maudlin songs, convince yourself he hates you and ring him in a couple of hours when he's definitely in bed wailing "burra LUV ye, ye bastart, how can ye be so meeeean?"

And then tell us about it in the morning.

You know those paper clip thingies you used to get on Word that said "You seem to be writing a letter, would you like help with that?" that make you want to kick the screen in?

Well phones should have that. After trying to type "baby" 3 times and not getting one of the letters right, a paperclip should pop up "You seem to be drunk, are you sure you would like to send this text?" :o

The key word would have to be "baby" as for some reason, people only ever say that about other adults when they are pissed :o

If I were the guy and had sent a "sweet" text as described and got that reply, I'd be wondering what I'd done to piss you off.

Personally I think it's better to wait until it's said to you. You get a better idea of whether it's meant. But in any case, don't say it when you're drunk!

ImperialBlether how would that work in RL? If everyone is waiting for the other person to say it first it would never get said?
