Hello all. Does anybody know why if somebody is ur friend on fb and it says they have 29 friends can you only see 24 listed??!! What are the reasons please???

Some people have their privacy settings set so only friends can see who they are friends with. If that's the case, they won't show up on other people's friends lists. I think.

PS. You actually counted??

There is s serious reason im asking. My dh has previous form regarding online affairs so need to know.

It could be privacy settings or they might have deactivated their account for a while

I think you can hide people on your own list as well, so if you are asking could your DH have hidden people who are on his list then yes, he could have done that, equally though , it could be that the people themselves have made their accounts private

With Facebook. You can make your whole friends list invisible. Or part. You can make your profile no searchable, I have mine in the most secure settings. However. Friends of friends. Can still see me on their list of the mutual friends list. If that makes sense.

What you have described, these missing people. Have blocked you. Or he's hidden a friendship group from you.That is why you can't see them. Doesn't sound great does it?

Not necessarily. My friend privacy is set to "only me" . When my mum clicks onto mutual friends' pages, and looks at our mutual friends, even though it might say, for example, 4 mutual friends, I never come up in the list.

If someone has blocked you, you would just have no idea they ever had a profile - they wouldn't be included at all.

I wouldn't panic at this point. Might he be friends with teachers or other people who have very high security settings?

Meant to say - if it says 4 mutual friends, it will show three people, but I won't ever be one of them.

They've blocked you I expect.

People I've blocked...a list will say 4 comments or likes yet only 3 are listed
