I've been slightly keen obsessedwith a bloke at work for a number of months. I know he has split up from his wife, and has 2 kids who he has sometimes, but I don't know if there is anyone else or not.

We have always get on well, I work with him occasionally but not really day to day. Last week we talked quite a lot, he knows I have split up from XDP and am alone with 2 kids. He also lives quite near me.

On Friday evening he sent an email asking if I would like to come round for a drink over the weekend. I panicked a bit although was v pleased. Have kids all weekend, so replied saying would like to another time but am busy with kids this weekend.

He replied saying fine, anytime, have a good weekend.

I have been obsessing thinking of him this weekend, and couldn't resist texting him tonight saying; would love to have a drink, sorry couldn't this weekend, when is good for you.

Have heard nothing back. Am now obsessing I have been too super keen.

What do you think? We're both late 40s by the way

seems fine to me.
take it in 'turns' to message / talk
wait for him to mention it now.

pleased for you Smile

he could be out and needing to check his diary first. DON'T TEXT HIM AGAIN THOUGH Smile delete his number from your phone if necessary and leave it for him to reply.

however I think it'd be better to go out rather than go round his house for a drink don't you think?

Thanks! I am being a bit silly I know, I really want to be calm and "que sera" about it, but I think even though I have tried not to show it, it means a lot to me and I don't want to f* it up.

I also don't want to go red at work tomorrow, and I know I will!!! Blush

Agree with ^ don't text him again!

He is probably just busy with his DC or in the pub with mates.

Squeegle · 09/09/2012 20:40

Yes, you're probably right about not going to his house sarah, neutral territory is easier.
