Am I overreacting?

Today my DM and DSF came round to visit. We were all chatting about general things and then we got onto to subject of the high school where my DD had just started. We all went to same high school apart from my DH who went to a different one. Anyway we were having a discussion about what teachers are still there etc and my DH then put his head back and started to pretend to snore as if saying "ok I'm bored of this conversation now" I was annoyed so I said "oh sorry are you bored because the conversation isn't all about you?" he got a bit miffed I think and said "what?!" I just dropped it because I didn't want a scene in front of my DM and DSF. I know I probably shouldn't have said anything but I just get so annoyed as he does it quite a lot if the conversation isn't about him and I think it's rude. There's plenty of times when we go to his DP's and I have to sit there listening to the same stories I've heard a million times before etc but I would never do what he did. AIBU?

YANBU he was being rude. You must have. Felt embarrassed which is why you snapped at him so try not to feel too bad about that. Have you made up now?

No, he was bloody rude. Is he usually an attention-seeker? Is there a reason why? And yes, you should have said something - if someone you live with is being bloody rude, it's completely fair enough to call them on it. Otherwise nothing ever get resolved.

I haven't really said anything about it to him as I started doing tea after they left I am just thinking about it now and still annoyed

He was being rude but then so were the rest of you for excluding him from the conversation.

Beamae I totally disagree. There is no suggestion from the OP that the conversation was particularly prolonged or dragged out. If he can't listen politely to a conversation without making inane snoring noises then I think the fault lies pretty clearly with him.
If he was truly and utterly bored, could he not have made a cup of tea or steered the conversation round to something more to his taste?

Pull him on it - every single time he displays such a gross lack of courtesy to others.

And if he doesn't check this extremely rude and entirely unnecessary behaviour, pointedly pull him on it the next time he does it in a large-ish group by making him the momentary focus of attention.

Sounds like he is a man-child.
