I'll admit to having the best boyfriend ever! Woke up this morning, he'd already gone to football, but I turned over and in his place was a beautiful bunch of long stemmed roses and a note saying "together forever beautiful". N'awwww!

Aw that's lovely! That's so nice!!

Christ he does so so much.

Helps undress me when I'm drunk
Makes my dinner every night
Kisses me awake in the morning so I get woken up nicely instead of by the alarm
Looks after me when I'm poorly
When I'm hungover he always gets me a maccies breakfast (hissss) and helps me eat it.
He brings me presents home, last time it was a pair of shoes. Before that a Nintendo ds and two games! I'm a big kid.
He's helping me through college and university. I couldn't do it without him.

He's just an all round lovely person. He saved my life more than anything. Helped me escape an abusive relationship an then gave me the best relationship I could ask for. I love him so much and hope he realises it.

Oh how lovely Smile. Love threads like this

GoldShip · 09/09/2012 15:52

It's nice to see happy stories for once!

blondiep14 · 09/09/2012 15:55

. Makes me a cup of tea every morning
. Gets up with DS's every morning before he goes to work so I get a bit longer in bed
. Does his best to let me rest when he's at home (am v pregnant!)
. Drives me about mostly as I hate it!
. Tells me he loves me at least twice a day
. Tells DC he loves them all the time
. Puts up with my innate grumpiness

There's lots more but they are my initial thoughts

Kayano · 09/09/2012 16:06

All the cooking despite working full time (although I suspect this is to protect us all from food poisoning!)

Always kisses my forehead and top of my head just because

Holds my hand (except in the office because we work in the same place!)

Buys me unexpected presents (recently got his friend to get some Russian dolls for me when he was visiting there)

Arranges family days our for him, me and dd.

Downloads Jersey shore for me despite hating it and saying its taking up space on his hard drive

(as above) Geordie shore, hells kitchen, top chef, cupcake wars

SuperB0F · 09/09/2012 16:10

Loads. I went to visit a friend overnight last weekend, and he actually stayed up the whole night to clean the house from top to bottom, do all the laundry and put it away, finish decorating a room, and overhaul the garden. I got back to a show home Grin. He's lovely, really my favourite person in the world.

dondon33 · 09/09/2012 20:03

brings me pretty roses and lilies, that he's grown himself, from the garden.

fights a losing battle with the slugs in my strawberry patch because he knows I hate the slimy little critters and wants me to have big juicy stawbs and not half eaten mangy ones.

makes me fresh juice everyday and watches I drink it ALL to make sure I get all the vitamins :)

brings me coffee in bed when I sleep longer than him.

tells me he loves me at least once every day.

accepts my craziness.

stayed by my side in the dentists room while I got sedated and a tooth pulled out last week, even though he doesn't like going himself.....this was after dancing around and singing to me in the waiting area, to make me smile i wanted to run

gives me random kisses and cuddles- has a strange ability to know just when I need one.

Washes the dishes if he knows I've just painted my nails I milk this one shh

finds me entertaining when I'm drunk as a skunk, except the time he had to clean up my vomit but he forgave me :)

thetrackisback · 09/09/2012 23:28

Makes me laugh when I'm feeling a bit low
Makes me go to bed when I'm tired
Loves our children and does anything to make them happy
Makes his best tea and toast when I'm sick
Works hard for us all
Let's me watch what I want on the telly (sometimes will moan whilst doing this!)

ceeveebee · 09/09/2012 23:50

Hmm. See, I hate threads like this. Because I can't really think of anything that my DP does without me having to ask him several times.

Nagoo · 09/09/2012 23:59

takes out the cat shit
makes Brew
looks after Dc while I have a kip
always says I look nice even when I look like a dogs arse

Badgerina · 10/09/2012 00:00

DH is positively angelic at the moment whilst I'm a demonic ball of pregnant rage Blush

  • he brings me breakfast in bed every weekend morning, with tea and juice and everything.
  • he massages my puffy play dough feet.
  • he does the laundry, does dinners, does DS's bedtimes.
  • he makes me cups of tea whenever I want.
  • he helps me take my trousers off every night (I'm 38 weeks pregnant with SPD!)
  • he buys me flowers.

Smile I love threads like this. having finally got free of an abusive relationship (and my first proper relationship so no experience of a normal one) its lovely to read evidence that decent men are out there. Ive been spending my evenings imagining being with a man who does those little things that I imagine make you feel special and loved as a way of keeping strong that Ive done the right thing.

Thank you for confirming my faith that one day I can have a normal loving relationship with a normal loving man and truly be happy.

QueefLatina · 10/09/2012 00:13

He is supporting me financially and emotionally as I have just quit a job I hated to follow a dream running my own business, even though he hates his job too and would love to have that opportunity.

Love him!

Littlecherublegs · 10/09/2012 13:29

Aw, love this thread!! Great to read something 'nice' in this relationship section!!

So (smug face on) I have the BEST DH who is generally just lovely, supportive, thoughtful, generous, caring, etc etc.

Specifically, some of the lovely things he does include:

  • wakes me up with a kiss every morning just before he leaves for work
  • makes me cups of tea when I, not so subtley, hint for one!
  • often brings me a little treat home from work (ie. yummy cake!)
  • says I look gorgeous even though Im 40 weeks pregnant and look & feel like cr@p most of the time!
  • looks for programmes coming up on TV that he thinks I might like and puts them to record on the planner for me
  • will cook sometimes even though he hates it and finds it really stressful!!

I LOVE HIM!! Smile
