If he owns the contract then I doubt very much you can do anything without his say so, regarding blocking or number changing. You can't even cancel the contract if it's in his name. All you can do, I think, is get rid of the phone - tell him your DD has lost it or something - and get her a new one.

Lose the phone.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 05/09/2012 08:21

Definitely give him the phone back. Get her a pay as you go and don't tell him the number.

StuntGirl · 05/09/2012 09:26

Doing anything like that requires the named person on the contract to do it so no, not without his consent you can't.

Best idea is to 'lose' the phone and get your daughter a new one (even if it's just payg). Keep the other phone (turned off and in a drawer somewhere) because those texts will be evidence if he escalates his behaviour.

Why ditch the phone itself? Just get a PAYG SIM from the same network, and use that in the phone. Just keep the contract SIM safe somewhere in case you have to return it.
