Sad for DS re: contact.

Supposed to be enjoying a few days away with DS (9) and STBXH chose tonight to text and say he can't come up the next time we'd arranged. So it will be 5 weeks between contact times by the time he comes up (if he does then!) and he only left for O.W. in early June :(. It's not looking good, is it?

I texted him back to say he can tell DS nearer the time and we will agree dates together the next time he comes up, and I pointed out 5 weeks is too long for DS. I just feel so hurt and angry for DS, but I don't want to give STBXH any more head space when we're on holiday. Hope I'm doing the right thing and still feeling raw myself after finding out details of the O.W. last time he was up, which I posted about on another thread.

Anyway, rambling now, so thanks to anyone who's got this far.

That shite Creme,
Has he moved to France, or something?
Has he requested another day instead?
Men like this don't deserve kids. Sad

He moved to London for work 13 months before he left us :(. We are in the North.

His alternative date was a date he had already said he would come up, two weeks after the date he's cancelled tonight. He gave me a list of dates he wanted to come up until the end of September a few weeks ago and yet he still didn't put them in his diary/ on his 'phone. Oh he's said in his texts he's really sorry, but it's no excuse...

So DS rang his dad yesterday and asked him when he was coming up next. He sounded outraged when he heard the answer, poor kid. He hasn't said anything to me about it though, but has been extra-clingy today.

What sort of a person puts an O.W. he's known for a matter of months above seeing their only child?

Am I right to suspect he might be cutting off physical contact prior to financial contact? I.E. if he's hardly seeing his son, it stops him feeling guilty about paying to support him?
