Great ideas thanks. DW is taking her to see Warhorse so she is getting that as a treat.

Don't focus on the sporty stuff. At 10 years old she might like to be into girly stuff:

  • Shoulder bag with purse inside (with a coupke of £ to spend herself)
  • Jeggings and a nice top (go shopping together in Asda, Sainsbury or Tesco)

Also think about stuff you can do together:

  • bowling (either tickets or buy a small lawn bowling set)
  • Lawn crocquet
  • Twister game (lots of fun and interactional)
  • Art items .... take her out to a beach/countryside and both paint together

I took 10 yr old DD shopping. Just me, her and a shopping budget!
She bought some clothes, earrings (just been pierced), and other bits.
She said it was her 'best day ever'!

dd -just writing out her 'wish list' for her 11th birthday Wink -'s favourite present out of everything last year, was an Amazon voucher she could spend herself.... kept her happy for hours, seraching and writing lists and whittling them down Grin

Other things she liked were some nice matching fruity smelling shampoo and conditioner she could keep for herself and not have to share with her siblings, a basketball hoop/backboard and ball, chocs, money, nail varnish, a large notebook (she love writing stories and reports on things).

HTH

Thanks all for great suggestions. Apparently she wants iPod and a donation for her HSBC account. Smile
