What rights do I have?

Hoping for some advice please......I am currently living with my partner in a rented property. Things aren't going well at all and although I hope they work out, if they don't I really need to know what rights I have.

My name isn't on the tenancy agreement, and all bills are in his name, I have paid him half from my account to his each month but there is nothing legal to say that I live here.

Could he make me leave if things really do fall apart?

Thank you!

Yes. You are not married, it's not your tenancy. :( Start planning.

afaik you don't have rights to live in the property, but in a way this is good because it also means you are not legally liable for the rent and could therefore just move out without being tied into a tenancy with him. do you have children or is it just you and him?

No children just 2 dogs, 1 of which he will insist on me taking which will make things tricky when looking for elsewhere to rent.

Better start doing as my grandmother said and having an emergency savings account!

He can make you leave the rental property if he wants to and you do not and would not have any legal claim whatsoever. The law treats you as two separate individuals if unmarried.
