How did things progress after the first date?

What happened next? (E.g. how soon was the second date? And the third? When did you start to see each other exclusively? When did you start to feel that you were 'in a relationship' rather than simply 'dating'?)

I'm in the slightly frustrating position of having been on a great first date, yet the man in question (who has agreed that the feeling is mutual and has been texting frequently) has now gone on holiday for three weeks. So I want to hear lots of other of lovely positive stories!

We had date one which lasted till 5am. We went out again pretty much immediately and were exclusively together from day one. I knew we would get married about 25 minutes into our first date and we have our 5th wedding anniversary this year after 7 years together.

Ah, those heady days of new love

Aww, that is such a sweet story. I felt as if I could have gone on talking to my man all night too. He said it was the best date he'd ever been on and I agreed it was mine. Of course I'm getting nervous it's all going to be a big anti-climax though.

My now DH texted me several times the same night that we went out the first time, then we went out again the following week. He had been asking me out periodically for about 18 months before I gave in and made a date though. He told me he loved me on our third date and I laughed in his face! But he kept on saying it. Moved in after just over a year, then married after 6 years - been married 3 years now. Exclusive from day one.

He went on holiday with a friend a few weeks after we started dating, he texted me constantly while he was away. Has your date been in touch with you since you went out? IME when a man is keen, he lets you know about it....
