Dating younger men

I've been asked out by a guy who is 16 years younger than me. We have been texting and arranged to meet next week. Any thoughts on the age gap? I have to be honest, it does bother me :(

in this case it may well suit you that r-ship is a bit part time, but you did say you worried about emotional attachment. there is stlil kids issue - he's klikely to want then eventually. I'm very pessimistic re younger men for LTR especially if they want kids at some point. as i say, if you could do a bit detached, then fine.

but you see MyLittle your mum was up to having kids with him, and OP isn't anymore.

I think I will see how it goes as he seems like a really nice guy, like I say, will have to be on guard emotionally.

Just wondered really if anybody would think it was terrible but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one :)

I've done both younger and older too (am 40ish) and as much as I get attention from (much) younger guys more than from anyone, I wouldn't get involved as I can't do casual at this stage. Never really could if I liked someone enough. Older/same age men do tend to look for r-ships more, aer more reliable in my experience.

good luck OP in any case! just take it slowly.

My mum was 41 when she had me, so wasn't young by any means.

Hey miracles

Glad your parents had such a good relationship. I know I'm not too old to have kids yet, it's just with career and 3DC already, not an option for me.

She had 2 DD's aged 5 and 10 when we met. They are 16 and 21 now, love them like my own and we have had great fun.
