to make DH sleep on the settee tonight? He has been sick today and I really don't want to share a bed with him!! He has been upstairs and hasn't gone near the girls

Our DD (SN) usually comes in with us at some point in the night so he will get kicked out then anyway!

Is that really horrible of me? Grin Grin

I don't do the sympathy thing as you can see!! lol Just doesn't come naturally to me!!! lol

He could actually lie on the kitchen floor and sleep, he would not off anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wellll it is a bit horrible of you imo.

crazydazy · 11/03/2006 19:59

Are you worried you'll catch it, you won't unless you come into contact with him whilst he is actually being sick or are you just worried he might chuck on you through the night?

franke · 11/03/2006 20:01

If he gets kicked out anyway when your dd joins you, he would prob be more comfortable on the sofa with a better chance of sleeping it off. I don't think it's horrible of you, but I would sell him the idea as being for his benefit Smile

anniebear · 11/03/2006 20:01

lol lol

I am horrible when it comes to DH being ill

He knows to to bother trying to get sympathy off me!!!!

If he is ill and you dont want to share a bed maybe you should take the sofa?!! :)

anniebear · 11/03/2006 20:03

euuugh, he had better not chuck up on me!!!!!!!!!!!

Just the thought our faces close and he breaths yucky sick germs on me!!!!

If I get it the girls will defo get it and beleive me our house is stressful enough without having the girls being sick also!!

So I suppose I am not really being horrible (cough cough)

I just don't wnat the girls to get it

I would go on the sofa but DD with SN comes in through the night, we have a terrible time of a night with her.

So I would have to be in our bed!!

Well make it sound like you're only thinking of him. It's best he gets an undisturbed nights sleep isn't it? Wink

getbakainyourjimjams · 11/03/2006 20:22

yes kick him out AB- I suspect your dd with a sick bug is the same as ds1 (no concept of bowl- it's everywhere). DH is always very keen that the kids don't get it so is always happy to do his bit and clear off. I'm going to get a comfier spare bed thing though (those foam ones are quite good).

Also if he's ill yopu are being nice by dealing with ellie alone.

anniebear · 11/03/2006 20:22

of course!!! it will be the best he has had in over 4 years!!!!

Infact, I may go and get my pillow now!!! lol

PMSL :o

anniebear · 11/03/2006 21:02

It's terrible, as soon as DH mentions the words 'feeling ill', I am going on at him "don't you dare be ill" etc etc!! lol

Because I know what I will have to put up with on my own

expatinscotland · 11/03/2006 21:02

no, why's it horrible. i have NO sympathy for this 'man flu' bollocks.

anniebear · 12/03/2006 07:29

well it wasn't too bad

I went up to bed and put cushions down the middle of us Grin Grin so he wouldn't come near me!!!!!!!!

Ellie woke at 4am (thats a brill night!!) so he went in her bed
