Ok, so some of you might have seen me post re internet dating (match.com), I've had a few dates and saw someone for a few weeks but he wasn't for me. I've recently been chatting to a good looking guy and we've been flirting using lots of euphemisms. In a nutshell Im thinking about meeting with him with a view to being a FB, which he is clearly up for. I have done this before with a guy years ago and we became really good friends (as well as the added extras). Is it wrong? I really would love to have a friend with benefits! :) Ps. I haven't had sex for nearly 4 years!!!!

It's not wrong as long as you both stay on the same page. And that's where the problems can start. Look, just have fun but don't get emotionally involved. Simple huh?

OP - I got some good advice on a thread I recently started in relationships called 'First Time Friend with Benefits' (or something similiar). It should only be a page or two back if you want to have a look at that - there was some very useful posts on it re handling fwbs if you're inexperienced with having them like me!

Oh, and yeah, I met my fwb off the Internet Blush. As long as you take the usual safety precautions, chat/text/email to the point where you feel comfy to meet etc. Tbh I would rather meet any FB off the Internet than someone I actually already know in real life - that way I can keep that side of me private but that's just me - each to their own. Be safe, be choosy and go with the flow!

I've met a couple of fbs off the internet and they've been great, very uncomplicated Blush I'd agree with FaffTastic, chat to them for a while and be choosy..there are lots available!

FB's work out fine, if you both want the same thing. We all have needs. I have a couple of guys in my phone that I can call on should the need arise. They are most accomodating, sometimes both men and women don't want a relationship for varying reasons.
