Ok so I'm only half way through the first book but I really need to get this off my chest. This book is making me so angry. It's being branded as "mummy porn" and no one is picking up on the fact he is completely manipulating her and being completely abusive!! All this "stay away from me" blowing hot and cold that's a manipulation tactic and the fact that he isn't willing to have a normal relationship with her says he really doesn't give a fuck about her - despite what he says.

I know it's only a piece of fiction but the fact that everywhere I turn people are going crazy for him saying how they miss him and want someone like him . I was in an abusive relationship for about a year when I was 17 trust me it's is NOT FUN to be with someone like Christian Grey .

Sorry for another 50 shades thread

It's porn.

So it isn't very good and doesn't have to make sense.

Get some Jane Austen if you want to read about real manipulation and not have to stab yourself in the eye everytime the word 'shattered' is used.

Or "inner goddess" Grin

Balia: This is what pisses me off the most about 50 Shades: the fact that people think that it's 'porn fiction' when it's just shit fiction. There are plenty of good porn/erotic novels out there. Nearly all of them are written by people who can actually spell and punctuate and are not frightened of using the word vagina, either.

HoleyGhost · 07/07/2012 07:53

Any recomendations for well written erotica then?

SGB, I'd buy your book, if I knew how to find it

MrsGrey · 07/07/2012 08:50

I'll keep quiet... lol
it is a trashy read.. passed the time but ended up addictive.. my opinion of him changed by the end.
apparently a baby boom is due next year now due to the book...
great as if I wasn't busy enough at work already..

solidgoldbrass · 07/07/2012 09:56

maytheoddsbeeverinyourfavour · 07/07/2012 13:23

donotsquandertime · 07/07/2012 20:55

never heard of him but yes yes to Matt Bomer (bites lip and lusts bashfully):)

WhereMyMilk · 07/07/2012 23:27

Christ, my inner goddess would bite her lip, do a cartwheel and shatter for Matt Bomer :o

solidgoldbrass · 07/07/2012 23:31

Maythe: Thank you! Grin. Glad you enjoyed it. I would defy any trades descriptions persons anywhere to bust me for advertising it as 'better than 50 Shades.' Because at least the Guild authors know what a comma is. And what a vagina is, for that matter...

is not going to be needy and whiny and ask if you liked MY story the best.
