i have only relly felt this so called spark between some one and your self once, , where your not even touching but it feels like there a surge running through you. i dont think im explainging it very well. but my question is, if you feel it, you can feel this chemistry between some one they must be feeling it to?

i know this may be a really stupied question, but i just dont know!

help lol.

I don't necessarily think the other person is feeling it too!

RationalBrain · 27/06/2012 13:27

I've felt it, but I don't necessarily think its reciprocal. at least I hope not, given the people I've felt it with!

CogitoErgoSometimes · 27/06/2012 13:50

No... look up 'unrequited love'.

Tressy · 27/06/2012 13:58

You know when you feel it yourself, but you don't know if they do, you just have to hope they do.

10987 · 27/06/2012 14:00

i think it owuld be unusual for you to feel the spark and them not feel it. I read once that you only really get crushes if someone subliminally is interested on some level or you would just switch off.
Not sure that is true but do think it often is.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 27/06/2012 14:06

If that was true 10987, George Clooney would be sparking so often we could wire him up as a new source for the National Grid.

GemsAngels · 27/06/2012 14:08

If they feel it too its chemistry ;)

kinkynagbag · 27/06/2012 14:13

cogito-- iv been round people who iv thought are pretty dam fine, and even thought what i wouldnt give for a round on that! but not felt it.

oh and i dont see what t he big attraction is with clooney, doesnt do it for me ;)

and tressy, there is a lot of hope its not one sided.

cogito - people may fancy him, but i wonder how many that he meets feel that he really does actually fancy them back (well apart from the boys down at the steam room :0))
I know you can really fancy someone but do you actually feel chemistry with them unless they feel the same?
I don't know but in my experience you usually find that people you are attracted to do fancy you back, but then again I do look like cindy crawford (not really)

CogitoErgoSometimes · 27/06/2012 14:18

Chemicals don't somehow leap across. Even when you're waggling your nether portions at each other there is every possibility that you're feeling hopeless devotion, surges and sparks and he's just thinking 'better get this over with before the footy starts'

ChickensHaveNoLips · 27/06/2012 14:18

I only get that feeling when the attraction is mutual.

CrikeyOHare · 27/06/2012 14:41

Personally, I think 10987 is right.

There are non-verbal body language signals that we all give out that tell us whether someone is interested in us or not. It's not a conscious thing, but we tend remain attracted to people who are attracted back but lose interest in people who aren't. It's all down to body language, not chemicals.

Unrequited love can be caused by the unconscious awareness that somehow that person has similar feelings but can't/won't do something about it.

Just my opinion.

Of course, this doesn't apply to barking mad people who think that Johnny Depp is sending them love signals through the cinema screen, or whatever.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 27/06/2012 14:52

'Sexually interested' is not the same 'love'.... salutory lesson.

CrikeyOHare · 27/06/2012 15:41

Oh, yes, I agree Cogito, I'm just talking about attraction.

Should add that I've always considered "unrequited love" as infatuation rather than love.
