Not only have you managed to get this chap out of your life when you realised he wasn't right for you, you also managed to do it early and without the crutch of a new relationship to go to which sounds like its progress for you.
Awesome, be proud of yourself. Get to know what you are like on your own, the way you like to live and spend your time. Put yourself first for a change and when you are ready, you'll have a better idea of what you do and don't want in a new relationship. You'll want one which will enhance a life that's already awesome.
Much better than just looking for someone a little bit better than the last bf. :)
