How can he just walk away?

My ex has stopped paying the mortgage. He doesnt pay any insurances either never has since the day he moved out. I cancelled my home insurance over a year ago cos I just couldnt afford it.
I now have a leak in my bathroom, and all the tiles are coming off the wall. I could cry.
How is this fair? How can they just walk away without a care in the world?
I have 3 sets of uniform to buy this year and my bank balance is £0.
I get £12 a week maintenance.
When my ex picks the kids up hes alway wearing new clothes. Driving around in a new car.
I dont want to sound depressing but I feel so lost today. Who do you talk to on days like this? Its raining and I have no money.Plans were a picnic in the park. Typical British weather!
Im sorry for being miserable!

Have got quite a few bits and pieces which I am more then happy to sent to you honestly. Have summer clothes, t shirts, swimming suit, trousers, underwear, thights and possibly some shoes and wellies but none of these are school shoes. School uniform grey trousers, skirts plus summer dresses in blue and red check. Also have lots of black boys trousers which are as good as new as DS had an overnight grow spurt.

If you like me to send these please pm me your address and will get a package together and post Monday. It would be nice to know they get made good use off.

Btw we have been there and come through the other end so it would be nice to give some back iyswim.

Income support will help you pay your mortgage interest payments. (I thinkt hey pay at at a flat rate of 2.95% atm..something like that).

Its completely seperate to HB and you will need to contact income support directly. They will make you wait 3 months and won't backdate, but if you can manage for the next 3 months you should be able to stay put :)

HB generally don't know this is available as they don't deal with it, so you must go through income support and tell them you want to apply immediately for help with your morgage payments. If ex left you, then you may not have to wait 3 months and will be eligible immediately.
Goodluck x

I've got a warm winter girls coat that would fit a 4 year old. Not waterproof but nice & cosy. Can't offer anything else as my DC's are unbelieveably hard on their uniforms!
PM me your address if you can use it xx

Notoutorabout · 16/06/2012 16:06
