Me and DP verge of separating. MIL decides to visit. I tell her truth about our relationship after years of asking for help far too subtly. She says "Well why didnt you leave him sooner?".....Gobsmacked.

Wow! I wish my first marriage inlaws had been this understanding. She sounds like one great MIL.

Although, not wanting to rain on anyones parade, but do remember, he is still her son, so feelings could change in a second! Just be careful of what you actually tell her. Not trying to be negative, just be careful!
