ok, so.. i have had a pretty crap time recently. got caught in the wrong relationship following divorce after being with exH 13 years.
for some reason i am getting caught in EA relationships and end up feeling isolated, lonely and lose confidence.
sat on my own on Saturday night. thinking to myself, what is love? what does it mean to you? i am questioning everything and just need some insight.

look at your own triggers and behaviours
why do you date gits, what can you do to not repeat this
love is pretty easy to do, and no shouldn't be hard.biggest myth is love is struggle, worth fighting for etc

... ach, watch out at the end there, it gives you an unexpected blast of Eine Kleine Crapmusik.

Someone once told me that their husband made them feel like they could fly. I thought that was a gorgeous way of putting it and summed it up really well. They felt supported, loved and special and like he made them feel that they could achieve anything they wanted.

When I have been in love it has always been a true friendship above anything else- the person I want to spend most time with just because it feels nice, you can talk about anything and you enjoy just being with them.

I am single now so may not be an expert but can happily look back on my last relationships and say that they were good, that I still love and LIKE the men involved.

I think gut instinct is a big thing- I agree that if it feels like lots of effort or if you are not sure then it is probably not right.
