apologies for title, I am bereft of ideas as the sodding times 'kindly' edited my profile for me. Angry

hatesponge · 30/05/2012 12:21

lol at bunkbeds...the only thing worse than still living at home would be still living at home and sharing a room with his brother Grin

Door man is coming round tonight, which I am :) about even though I Am utterly convinced hes not single though.

Tollysfolly · 30/05/2012 12:34

watch my friends have told me the same about the date I had Saturday. I'm meeting him again tonight. hes very nice and polite, travelled around after splitting with ex a few years ago. he's text everyday. but I'm concerned he's too nice lol. and got told I won't get anywhere if I keep going for the bad boy type ones.. which is true.. I guess. so will see how it goes for a while.

ChildofIsis · 30/05/2012 12:40

You're right about not judging too quickly Watch.
I suppose we all have standards that we want everyone else to adhere to.

I guess untill we really know a person we won't really know if their satndard match our own.

MyLittleMiracles · 30/05/2012 13:27

Feeling like I missed out! I never has bunk bed sex. I did the bad boy types but they didn't work out too well, though my ex wasn't a bad boy.

PostBellumBugsy · 30/05/2012 13:55

Don't think I ever shagged in a bunk bed either MLM. Did have alot of single bed sex though. Very, very occasionally, I miss that single bed thing, where you learnt to sleep with someone on a regular basis in a single bed - like a little cuttlery set. I now hog the entire double bed & find accommodating a guest a significant compromise!!!!

Watch, I think you should go. If he is a kidult knob jockey then you can make it short, but you never know he may be fun to see for a while.

MyLittleMiracles · 30/05/2012 14:25

I have done the single bed thing too. I can manage someone in my double bed, so long as they sleep on the edge, where my eeyore normally does. LOL.

ChildofIsis · 30/05/2012 14:51

Oh MLM I have stripey rabbit in mine.
It was a 2nd birthday prez for DD, she gave it to me when xh left 'so I wouldn't be lonely'

I'm happy to have a guest in bed for while, but am now used to sleeping right in the middle so don't know how I would cope.
Not that the situation has arisen lately.

MyLittleMiracles · 30/05/2012 15:03

Eeyore I bought myself as a replacement for the one who got ripped up. I love my eeyore, cuddly and doesn't answer back! Or require feeding etc.

I was the one that left, but that is so sweet of your DD to give you her teddy.

Sunshinedelacruz · 30/05/2012 16:39

Watch: I would have to ask him about his "i text you in my head" communication issues. Im not sure how but I wouldnt be able to resist as I would find that annoying.

Sponge: Have you heard from the door man about payment yet?

No updates from me. Pilot has vanished. Tailor too, Chippie wants a date but seems to be in every part of the country every day.
Does everyone get loads of messages? I get very few. And I dont get much of response if I send them either.
Id like to speak someone who gets loads of messages to see if there are any or many tricks I am missing iykwim.

Got an exciting weekend ahead as Im trying to organise friend and I to go to a biscuit festival. For some reason Watch, I think it would be your cup of tea but I dont know why!

watchoutforthatsnail · 30/05/2012 17:06

Sun, anything thats got both biscuit AND festival in it, gets my vote!!!!! :) sounds fab. I'm running a coconut shy at a ' village fete' at the most ' yah' pub, ive ever seen, sat. Will be hysterical fun :)

I get lots of messages. And dates If I want them. I don't usually want them!
Essentially It's all about the picture. You just need a really good pic.

Don't feel bad about the vanishers, happens all the Time.

And if he's rubbish, I shall be leaving prompty.... Plus side is its a roasting hot day and a walk round the Marina Will be quite nice :)

PostBellumBugsy · 30/05/2012 17:17

Hope you have fun tonight Watch.

I shall be setting off soon to get into Soho for cocktails with MrMusic! Hope he makes me laugh again tonight.

Will be back in the morning for an update!

ChaoticismyLife · 30/05/2012 17:42

Enjoy your dates watch and Post :)

hatesponge · 30/05/2012 18:54

Well door man has been. I am all giddy and giggly (this is the effect he has on me Blush) but still none the wiser as to whether or not he's single.

He did tell me he doesnt believe in marriage.

And hes helping me do a quote for the mediation thingy for all the building work that's left to finish. And has said he's happy to bump it up - the notional quote not what he'll actually charge if that helps Grin

hatesponge · 30/05/2012 18:56

ps - Watch and Post have a great evening :)

I've been asked out tomorrow. Not sure yet if I will go, cos he is far too young (and a bit puppyishly eager), and more importantly I'd rather be out with door man...not that theres any chance of that of course!

MirandaWest · 30/05/2012 18:56

Sponge you need to find out if he is single

I am v glad you are giggly and excitable Grin

Ithinkineedtogrowapair · 30/05/2012 19:19

Aha so you're going watch! Can't wait to hear what he's like.

The hippy is coming over for a drink in the garden ... Hmm.

hatesponge · 30/05/2012 19:20

He has a very odd effect on me, I literally can't stop smiling when he's here. Actually I'm still grinning like an idiot now :)

I think I now know where he lives, as he mentioned what station he gets the train from when going to London - there's only one of the right age in that area, and (if its him) he lives alone Grin

It probs won't be him of course.

Or he will be single and just not be interested in an over-excitable middle aged woman....

Ithinkineedtogrowapair · 30/05/2012 19:21

Ps sponge you have to find out! Maybe an innocent question about something like - oh I bet your partner likes that etc.

Or you just ask him out. SimplesGrin

hatesponge · 30/05/2012 20:14

I've found him on FB now. Sadly his profile is sufficiently secure that I can't see any of his photos. Meh.

Grin
hatesponge · 30/05/2012 20:15

I am an appalling stalker Blush

watchoutforthatsnail · 30/05/2012 22:52

Ah, sponge, thats good stalkering!!! He does Sound nice..you need to drop some big hints I think!

So, I'm back. Glad I went. Had an awesome Time..he is actually fab company. I like him. Small kiss on the lips and that's all. Gggrrr, frustrating as I actually do fancy him!!!!!
( will not worry about his housing situation for the momment, and he said sorry about the text delay again) I think I misread some of his humour, and its actually self decpricating, but in text ( and not knowing him) that got lost.
But yeah, fab date..and amazing we are going for a third!!!!!!!!! And he asked me to come to his next gig( free tickets, obviously)

watchoutforthatsnail · 30/05/2012 22:55

Yes, you read that right....THIRD DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My second third date ive ever had since ive been dating. So what, nearly 3 years..

This is something of a miracle..

TimeForMeAndDD · 30/05/2012 23:04

Grin Brilliant news Watch. Now promise, no over thinking, over analysing or over anything. Just go with the flow...!

Did you ask about the bunk beds?? Grin

Ithinkineedtogrowapair · 30/05/2012 23:13

Congratulations watch! Sounds good... Only a couple of dates to go then until he'll permit you to visit his bunk bed

Sponge - you need to practice some leading questions!!!!.

I think I have embarked on a fling. Getting a little intense. but the latest is that he sees an astrologist....Hmm ok well has done once every now and then, some kind of aquaintance. But really that is a bit weird... No????

watchoutforthatsnail · 30/05/2012 23:18

I did not..LOL

Yes, i need to not think of the cons ( I think I always manage to talk myself out of men, because It might be safer to stay single and not risk being hurt)

So, I'm very good of thinking up cons :)

But I did have an awesome time. And he was like ' that was awesome'

So, that's good, yes... And I
