Watch not needy, but frustrated, and understandably so. This is not something I would tolerate in a relationship, standards and all that. As it's not yet a relationship I would say try to chill but it is something you could talk about when you meet. It's possibly an indicator of the type of person he is, laid back to the point of being horizontal, possibly goes hand in hand with the fact he lives at home and has no responsibilities. It's all helping to build a picture of him and aid your decision as to whether he is someone you would want to emotionally invest in.

Right. If you really really like him and can see this going further, then go. If you honestly cannot see yourself with him, in a relationship, then save your money and don't go.

I think your concerns about him are valid, as you are looking for 'long term' not a casual hook up. I also think he is coming across as a bit self important, he replies to texts in his head but doesn't actually send? . He would be annoying me by now and I would be thinking I deserve better.
