apologies for title, I am bereft of ideas as the sodding times 'kindly' edited my profile for me. Angry

xposted - of course stay around with us. We will tell you the truth

We're not all dating or trying to date. We are all single and lonely at times

MyLittleMiracles · 22/05/2012 22:48

So that means I can come moan about being lonely? And generally bug you guys by giving advice you know I wouldn't take of my own? And its good to cuddle though who I consider non blood family right?

Sunshinedelacruz · 22/05/2012 23:45

Notsure: you don't have a problem. I was contacted by a 69year old woman on pof tonight. That was my only message. Great. FGS!! Pass me the gin.

notsurewhyohwhy · 23/05/2012 07:31

Sunshine - lol at 69 year old woman Grin

Well even though I havnt replied to mr tall, he messaged me thus morning to say happy birthday! So he is still trying to push his way in Hmm

Snapespeare · 23/05/2012 09:09

sunshine assuming you're not an 80-year old man who might find that flattering, then welcome to my personal pensioner hell.

Snapespeare · 23/05/2012 09:11

notsure is it actually your birthday, or has Mr persistant just decided it's your birthday in his parallel universe? If it is your birthday, then a very happy one to you and I hope you have a lovely day! :)

OP posts:
watchoutforthatsnail · 23/05/2012 09:48

notsure, if it IS your birthday ' HAPPY BIRTHDAY'!!!!!

The pensioner messages really do make me laugh. Its quite ridiclous, and im not sure what world they are living in.

Weirdly i never had any reply back from yesterdays date at all.
which i think was a little strange, but ho hum.

And im rather pleased because im looking all lovely today in my primark bargins. DD was all ' wow mummy, you look so beautiful' and frankly, thats all i need to hear :)

TimeForMeAndDD · 23/05/2012 10:05

Happy Birthday Notsure Smile

Panic not watch, I'm sure he will be in touch Smile. Anyway, there really is no reason why you can't give him a nudge, later on, if you still haven't heard from him, and if you want to.

I bet you look lovely in your Primarni outfit Smile

noluck · 23/05/2012 10:07

First of all : Happy Birthday to Notsure

Then : He's asked me for a date....

I gave him my possibilities and I'm now slightly worried I might find him too nice.

Breathe woman, breathe....

This is not a FWB prospect, this could be a real relationship. Don't know if I can do this....I'm now highly suspiscious of men and their relationship capacities. With me, anyway.

Will keep you posted.

watchoutforthatsnail · 23/05/2012 10:14

Ah - im not going to text him again - i did once, if he wants me he knows where i am :)

noluck - have you met him yet? or is this just from online chat?

thanks time - i do :) everyone at work 'ooooooohhhhhhh'ed' at me :) its the small things huh.

ChaoticismyLife · 23/05/2012 10:15

Grin at Time

Happy Birthday notsure

watch your dd sounds lovely :) It does feel good when your dc compliment you.

TimeForMeAndDD · 23/05/2012 10:24

It's lovely when that happens innit watch Smile

MyLittleMiracles · 23/05/2012 10:25

Happy birthday notsure

It is good to be told you look beautiful by your family. And those you consider as family. I am blessed with some good friends though they live far away.

noluck · 23/05/2012 10:45

Watch : this is first encounter in the flesh, so to speak. We have done the chat, the phone, we know where each other live, what we do (he's a professional clown), we have both been keeping our distances. He's just so nice. Highly educated, intelligent, sensitive, funny. I'm extremely worried about myself. I have not, in a long time, felt so different about a person of the opposite sex. We will most probably end up just good friends (sigh).

ChaoticismyLife · 23/05/2012 10:47

I have an interview, I have an interview, I have an interview, I have an interview, I have an interview...

Oh, and just in case you don't realise...I have an interview GrinGrinGrin

Friday 3pm, Admin Clerk, I very nearly didn't apply because it's not the easiest place to get to but it is possible. Things are looking up, even if I don't get the job at least I got an interview, the number of jobs I've applied for and don't even hear anything.

TimeForMeAndDD · 23/05/2012 10:49

Oooh Chaotic well done!! I'm so pleased for you. I will have everything crossed that you get the job Smile

ChaoticismyLife · 23/05/2012 10:55

Thank you Grin I'm going to Next soon to see if I can find something suitable to wear. I do have black pants and a suit jacket if not but I think something new will give me a confidence boost, plus possibly be a bit cooler, if it's warm on Friday.

Just confirmed interview on the phone and will be planning my journey and doing my research (I have learned something from these courses I've been on) on the company later/tomorrow.

watchoutforthatsnail · 23/05/2012 10:56

Chaotic - WELL DONE!! everything crossed for you :)

noluck - hmm, i wouldnt worry about deciding anything then, if you havent met. Sometimes it can all be great online and on the phone and then you meet and it all falls flat.

So - he just text.. Said he was sorry - fell asleep for 12 hours, knackered from weekend and mondays gigs.
he said whatever i want to do.. walk in the park, hang out in the sun. All things that i cant get a day time baby sitter for for 2 weeks. meh
And hes also said, he doesnt know if i know, but he doesnt drive at the momment, so transport is difficult. I now have a sneaky suspicion he might live at home...???!?!?!? i dont know.
what do you suggest i say?
suddenly it all feels a bit flat.

TimeForMeAndDD · 23/05/2012 10:58

Grin I bought myself a lovely 2 in 1 dress from NEXT, for interviews. Tis this one www.next.co.uk/x49114s5#826010x49 I got it for half price in the online sale.

TimeForMeAndDD · 23/05/2012 11:01

I would say stop feeling flat for a start! So, he doesn't drive, it doesn't mean he lives at home, and even if he does it's early days and that shouldn't put you off someone you like, not at this early stage. He has left it to you to make suggestions so, suggest an evening date. Simples. Smile

TimeForMeAndDD · 23/05/2012 11:02

Or, failing that you could do another lunch time date to tide you over until you can do an evening date.

watchoutforthatsnail · 23/05/2012 11:17

Ok - so ive replied and said while hanging out in the sun in the park sounds fab, unfortunatley, having just had 2 childfree weekends, im now not free for another two :( but could do something one evening.. cinema? pub? or if he wanted to pop round one evening ( on the basis my boss has known him for years so hes unlikely to murder me)

I dont know, if he doesnt drive it might make things difficult.... esp if he doesnt live near to me. facts are: i cant get out in the evening, maybe as a special occassion, so its probably going to be more hanging out at mine ( in between every other weekend when im childfree) if he doesnt drive thats going to make things more difficult i would have thought...

ChaoticismyLife · 23/05/2012 11:23

That dress is lovely, I'll keep an eye out for it in the shop. Whether it'll suit me or not is something else entirely, a lot of my weight is on my stomach. Having said that I ordered a dress from Next online earlier this year and it looked great on but I ended up sending it back because I'd applied for a load of jobs and didn't even get an interview and could justify spending money at the time. Whatever I get it will have to be today, I don't have time to order online, wait for delivery and then try it on in the hope it'll look good. I'm also going to have to get some tights I think, I don't want to risk fake tan in case it ends up looking streaky.

watch I don't drive and I haven't lived at home for years. I second what Time says, either an evening date or another lunchtime one for now.

ChaoticismyLife · 23/05/2012 11:26

Maybe a bit more difficult but not necessarily impossible. Is there a nice pub nearby with a beer garden that you could go to? You could hang out in the sun and have a drink at the same time.

watchoutforthatsnail · 23/05/2012 11:27

ah - but you arent 29.....
