Could it be that a surprise party is being organised and someone is finding it hard to keep it a secret. Optimistic.

Text back. When people text and not call to begin with, they clearly want to stay anonymous. It could be malicious, but equally it could be someone who is just wanting you to know the truth for your own sake, but not wanting to get themselves into problems for it, which is understandable I think.

I would definitely text back asking for more details

If it isnt someone you know then they must have gotten your number from someone you know.

I would suggest getting everyone you know to check their phonebooks, say this number keeps calling you (as if it is dialing in their pocket) but you dont know who it is, and you want to find out who it is so that you can contact them and let them know.

That is what I did when some random slut girl started texting me telling me she was sleeping with my EXP.
I managed to track her down because someone i knew on facebook had her number.

I had I something similar last year, a woman would oh one up say something awful about DH then put the phone down, it was really awful, at the time my DH was working abroad so I knew the claims were ridiculous, once my DS picked up the phone and when I saw him on it I immediately took it away and put the phone, after that they would call and say they were going to 'get' my boy because of what DH had done, I know where you live etc etc eventually it was happening so much I went to the police, they out a trace on it and next time they phones i told them what I had done and it all stopped. I don't think for a moment it was anything to do with DH, in fact I know it wasn't, it's was silly malicious kids that thought it was funny. I know how disturbing it can be and hope you are ok
