Lack of affection ..

I have been with my partner for almost 7 years and have a beautiful daughter together (age 3) at the beginning of our relationship we were always very sexual , after having our daughter it fizzled out almost completely to the point where we would have sex once every 2-3 weeks ( were only 23 & 27) to begin with it was him not so interested or if he was it was just literally a quickie .. so therefore then I lost interest too. I've recently been away on a girls holiday and after talking to my friends realised its not normal and I need to sort this issue out before it goes even further into no sex life ! I'm quite body conscious ( still only a size 12 but was a 8 when first together ) but I missed him so much when I was away and on my first night back home we had a great night IYSWIM ;) but then he's now working away and I hardly even get a "love you" he's back to being I affectionate and I've said this to him but he

it is normal! i call it "life takes over love!" basically you both have other things you put first without realising it, work, child, housework, shopping, bills, keeping other people happy etc.. its easy to do. Me and my dh have done it. best thing to do is get someone to have your dd for a few hours a week, morning, afternoon or evening -whenever you can - and have a "date" once a week even if its just cuddling up on the sofa without any distractions.

We're quite fortunate that we can get a babysitter as often as we like , however with him working away that can't happen ATM anyway , when he is home and we sit on the sofa watching a film or tv he still doesn't want to like "snuggle" as such , our daughter goes to bed at 7 and is a good sleeper do that's not an issue , other than tying him up and jumping his bones in not sure what else to do lol that may work
