He said the best thing about being separated was that he no longer had to try to change me.

Eh?

You should thank your lucky stars he's your ex!

Sunnywithachanceofshowers · 29/04/2012 20:18

Ignore, ignore, ignore. There's no use trying to understand random comments by exes.

nkf · 29/04/2012 20:20

I know. I know. Bloody cheek though.

He will try anything to get back at you for breaking up. Like Sunny says, just ignore him.

Lueji · 29/04/2012 20:20

Poor thing.

It must have been so tiring.

nkf · 29/04/2012 20:22

I know. Poor chap. The struggle of trying to make me into something else.

puds11 · 29/04/2012 20:24

Not you OP, your ex. Thought i should clarify Smile

FashionEaster · 29/04/2012 20:24

Laugh and say, almost fondly, "You were such a twat"

puds11 · 29/04/2012 20:24

lol fashion

nkf · 29/04/2012 21:09

Fashion, I'd wish I'd thought of that.

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 29/04/2012 21:12

tell him you are also glad you didn't stay with a controlling twat

btw, why are you still having conversations like this ?

FashionEaster · 29/04/2012 21:13

S'all right, my exH sometimes leaves me gobsmacked too.

Save it for next time, if there is one.

MissPricklePants · 29/04/2012 21:16

Ah this sounds like the sort of bollocks that my ex spouts regularly! Ignore it, he sound's like a twat!!

nkf · 29/04/2012 21:16

AF, it was a while ago but I remembered it today. And realised that I should have told him to shove it.

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 29/04/2012 21:19

yes, you should

we don't do it then though, do we ? Smile

TheHappyHissy · 29/04/2012 21:19

... And YOUR best thing about being separated is that you are now free to find your NEXT man and HE will love you just the way you are.... Over and over and over again...

QuacksForDoughnuts · 29/04/2012 21:37

Hey, at least yours has stopped seeing it as his job to 'change' you - mine kept going with that for ages after we broke up, very annoying!

(Assuming you weren't talking about dealing with your wet nappies, which would be a different issue Wink )

nkf · 29/04/2012 21:39

Yes. He no longer has to wipe my shitty bottom. Didn't I make that clear?
