Hi All,

Having spent quite a lot of time on various threads this last week or so discussing less pleasant episodes in my life, I thought it would be a bit of a relief to have a thread where no-one (including me) posts about any of the horrible stuff, but only our thoughts, strategies and random musings on how we're moving forward to a better future.

Maybe start with suggestions for looking after yourself a little bit every day.

Anyone like to join me? I am just off to make myself a cup of Rose Garden tea and eat some fruit cake, but I will be back!

And I'd like to start by giving you all a lovely bunch of Thanks

Nice idea Berts

I am having an eco-friendly day sorting out the recycling and planting out my sweet peas and runner beans. I will pop round the charity shops to look for old curtains in a minute. Keeping my Little House clean and pretty and making the garden nice and recycling and living cheaply makes me happy! Smile

I will grow you some Thanks

I'm just finishing lunch and will soon have a looooooong hot bath, following my Sat morning work out. :)

DS is being a great boy as usual and it lifts up my mood to watch his recent achievements, such as managing to stay afloat and move forward on the deep end of the pool, when last year he barely put his nose underwater. :o
And watching his swiming instructor too. Wink

Thanks too

Thanks to all too. Lovely idea Berts. I am laying in bed (for the first time on a Saturday since I was a teenager) indulging myself with a nice box set and peppermint tea.

Every night I hug myself and tell me I love me :)

Thanks Berts.

Ahh, surrounded by flowers Smile

I won't try to grow my own, as I have black thumbs and bring death to all plants, but I've just had a lovely play on the floor with my baby girl and put her to bed. I think when she gets up, we'll have a bath!

I've spent most of the day re-arranging the furniture in my new house. It will soon be home. I am getting a profound sense of satisfaction from this simple exercise. I've hung some curtains, put up some pictures, moved rugs around.

I applied for a job yesterday, I'm starting to re-join the world.

I am free. I am happy.

Thanks Berts, loving the posts of young ones, my ill teenager is trying to convince me playing post apopolyptic computer games is actually helping his geography schoolwork :o

I'm baking, potting up off shoots and doing seeds and other creative stuff.

I'm happily repairing the bike my teenager trashed borrowed and planning a prawn curry ready meal for tea.
Yum!

Today I - politely - sent back my Eggs Benedict, as they were cold. The staff were lovely and brought me a fresh plate of eggs!
