I allow my husband to do all the ironing so he can be a positive role model for his sons

that's very good of you.

expatinscotland · 11/02/2006 11:13

I 'let' mine change the cats' litter tray .

KristinaM · 11/02/2006 11:14

Expat - is that so he can bond better with the cat? You are such a wonderful person

I am also a fantastic mother because i only clean the kitchen floor twice a year so my children can build up their immunity

Oh, I let DH do all the ironing as well.

expatinscotland · 11/02/2006 11:18

Yes, Kristina. I also let him bond w/his own kids, by 'babysitting' frequently.

LadySherlockofLGJ · 11/02/2006 11:22

I let my DH do all the cooking.

I let him help me with the household chores.

I let him earn enough to keep a roof over our heads, and feed and clothe us all and afford us a nice lifestyle.

I let him let me work part time so I have the perfect work life balance with regard to DS and school.

I let him insist that I take another 3 months off before I go looking for a part time job.

I am such a good wifey.

I was clearly a rubbish wife as I didnt let my H do anything round the house or help care for OUR children

that must be why he left

I'll "let" the next one do EVERYTHING

Pinotmum · 11/02/2006 13:22

After reading this I clearly have room for improvement. I intend to make amends immediately

stitch · 11/02/2006 13:52

well, i must be a crap wife as i run his household, take care of his kids. let him do what he wants etc etc etc.
i also let him do his own ironing, so perhaps there is hope for me?

Flamesparrow · 11/02/2006 13:58

I am lovely too - I let mine bond with his daughter from early this morning, while I stayed out of his way in bed (so as not to interrupt the bonding). I am tempted to let them bond again tomorrow, but I think that he may be planning on being just as caring to me....

KristinaM · 11/02/2006 14:33

Oh we are all just so great...we deserve lots of expensive choccies and pink champagne this Valentine's Day. Or maybe even some jewellery or new clothes.

I have allowed mine to take ds swimming today - although it cuts me to the quick to think of them having such fun, splashing around in a fetid pool of strangers' urine, while admiring the collected tattoos and beer bellies of a random group of the Essex population.

QE2 · 11/02/2006 15:02

I let him have sex with me whenever I like and let him pay particular attention to his tongue technique so I am not grumpy and miserable to live with. This is very important to maintain a harmonious household.

Thell · 11/02/2006 15:52

This has inspired me.
I am going to turn over a new leaf, and stop tidying things away so that my poor DH can not find anything. I will leave his pyjamas on the bathroom floor, leave all the cupboard doors open so that he can see where everything is, and leave his glasses in the fridge, on the sofa, etc etc.

Ooo, now I feel a bit guilty - he is wonderful really!!

harrisey · 11/02/2006 20:35

I let mine pay for a cleaner!

KristinaM · 11/02/2006 21:03

ShaysMummy · 11/02/2006 21:32

i let him take the bin bags out every monday and sometimes let him do the turd burgling in the back garden (dog poo collecting)

Lonelymum · 11/02/2006 21:33

I am downstairs on the computer allowing dh to have a lovely early night tonight (he has gone to bed already). I am sure he never intended me to follow him and disturb his rest!

jco · 11/02/2006 22:09

i am a wonderful wife because i divorced my husband thus allowing him to have the single life he always acted like he wanted, living alone in a bedsit with microwave meals for one to come home to!

petunia · 12/02/2006 15:25

I cook, clean, iron, look after the children, do the decorating and the gardening. And I put up with loads of cr*p from his parents.

ProfessorG · 12/02/2006 15:34

My DH has just bought me 12 red roses - so I must be doing something right
