Crushing, just practice practice practice

Like, I'm not sure about the population at large, but amongst the people I know about half do and half don't.

wonders in with a fresh pot of L-tea
Hello!!! waves frantically I wasn't really sure at which point to come in but thought if I don't do it now I never will.
I think it's great that there is a place like the Tavern, it's very much needed.
I currently do not have a WIQ but I have always found women attractive. I'm in a relationship with a man who like knows I am attracted to women and is actually very supportive of the whole situation. I often feel guilty if I think about women as I feel like I am being unfaithful. I'm hoping that Polly's meeting with The Bolter is/was okay. :)

Loveis forgot to mention - your pun made me smile!

Gay40 · 21/04/2012 23:18

Now that is a great name ^^^ Mumbling Fanjo Chops. I only wish I had thought of it myself!

Welcome. You'll know already we don't do labels, we don't do judging, we don't condone cheating, we do like lesbian tea.

OP posts:
likeatonneofbricks · 21/04/2012 23:19

welcome Mumbling! you are well up on our chat as you know all about l-teas! and how we like it (someone always offers!). Have you evre acted on it or prefer not to?

Gay40 · 21/04/2012 23:20

Likea, how's the endless unpacking going?

(there is a sort of lesbian joke there but I'll wait and see if anyone gets it)

OP posts:
MumblingFanjoChops · 21/04/2012 23:26

I am not of the labelling kind Gay so that is okay :) Love is exactly that and gender doesn't really come into it, as my previous experiences have been with men and women, so that answers your questions likea but after many years of suppression due to others expectations and beliefs, it's difficult when you try to make everyone happy and proud but feel like something is missing from your life, luckily I met the right woman at the right time and I was able to experience what was missing. How is the move likea? I made so many lists when I was moving so I knew what was going where, bit of an order freak I am!

likeatonneofbricks · 21/04/2012 23:30

for the last two days i'm boycotting it - haven't done a thing! but have been dealing with diy, organising and lots of washing (exciting life eh?), for once went out for some entertainment today, and tomorrow going to london until monday, so no unpacking till tues now! seeing wiq will be a distraction even if brief, always makes me smile. Hope she's not in grumpy mood of course..
Joke - not sure i can imagine, unless on v.rude lines?

Crushinghard · 21/04/2012 23:32

Welcome mumbling.

Joke's gone over my head gay.

Polly, I keep checking in for news!

likeatonneofbricks · 21/04/2012 23:34

Mumble thanks, going slowly but some progress, still living with boxes everywhere. I didn't pack myself (it was TOO much) and now i find the way they signed boxes was poor, still haven't found my fave mugs with piggies and parts of the blind, etc, etc. Many boxes untouched as I need wardrobes assembled first! and the handyman is still busy! hoping for brealthrough next week.
How did you manage to let go of that 'right woman'?

likeatonneofbricks · 21/04/2012 23:39

three hours since the start of polly's date - quite a long drinkGrin!

Gay40 · 21/04/2012 23:40

I'm rather hoping we don't get to hear anything until TOMORROW Grin

OP posts:
Crushinghard · 21/04/2012 23:41

Not that we've nothing better to do than to sit around waiting for an update of course... Grin

Gay40 · 21/04/2012 23:42

I'm working but I'm still sat about.

OP posts:
likeatonneofbricks · 21/04/2012 23:52

I'm also multi-tasking haha.
We may hear soon though.

MumblingFanjoChops · 21/04/2012 23:59

Until Tuesday??? Oh dear! Maybe the moving in fairy will come round and make your house a home! It's more important to enjoy yourself though, moving is such a hassle. I avoided the Guardian website, but I am watching Lip Service now.

Gay40 · 22/04/2012 00:01

I moved here about 7 years ago and I've not finished unpacking yet.

OP posts:
MumblingFanjoChops · 22/04/2012 00:07

Likea It's essential that you pack your own boxes so that you can put "includes piggie mugs" on the top. As the for the blinds I'm shocked they didn't bind the fixtures to the blinds... who are these people? I feel I need to teach them a thing or two on the subject on How to move a Mumsnetter!! Nobody else would pack a box like we would!!

MumblingFanjoChops · 22/04/2012 00:09

That is absolutely terrible Gay! You should be ashamed! haha I guess mumsnet probably has a lot to do with that though, I wonder how many hours of procrastination it provides?

likeatonneofbricks · 22/04/2012 00:19

oh definitely, Mumbling, too many entertaining distractions with MN, tv, emails, skype! I love my Virgin tv - npw I also watch cath ups on proper screen. But to be fair, M, Iwas unpacking all last week and spending hours in household shops, it's s new pkca so I 'm still getying lost now and then and the shops are not as near as i've been used to in london. I couldn't pack myself - it was too much to pack, honestly. I'm going to get rid of a lot of stuff. As i say I need to assemble furniture first as there 's nowheer TO put all the stuff from boxes. I'm getting ahomely feel as i did sort the kitchen out, sofas, bed and tv, Now waiting for hte handyman! but it's hard work shifting boxes too yo know, not so simple..don't have much strength in my delicate arms Grin! yes i do want a fairy. Tuesday only because i'm away!

likeatonneofbricks · 22/04/2012 00:21

G40- 7yrs Shock! well thank you as this gives me hope! i think you can prob throw all that away as you obviously can well live without it! it's amazing to discover things you completely forgotten you had (as I'm finding)!

Gay40 · 22/04/2012 00:22

I am usually working and on MN at the same time for part of my week, but for other parts of the week I'm not online for several hours.
I've figured that if I can live this long without the stuff in those boxes, I should just throw them out.

OP posts:
likeatonneofbricks · 22/04/2012 00:28

but you haven't thrown them out - do you have a huge houseGrin? I will have to, soon.
I sometimes spend a whole day off line (shock horror), usually when travelling or v.busy! you know, G, some people spend days/weeks not on internet!

Gay40 · 22/04/2012 00:34

No, a little house but to be fair all those boxes are not here in my house anyway Grin

Some people are addicted to the internet. I like it, but I haven't got time to be addicted - too much real life stuff going on. Last century mobile phone too - it needs winding up to send a text.

OP posts:
likeatonneofbricks · 22/04/2012 00:45

quite a few hours with old phones - maybe gay/bi women are technophobes (i think that's sweet, so don't throw stones!). I'm definetely not addicted to internet as such as i don't browse huge amount, but it's very useful for info and I have to rely on it for work too, so I can''t avoid it. Also I'm addicted to communication with a few people who i don't see often (and now this tread!) and it's the only viable option to keep in contact, by email.
