My birthday today and last week I said to him that I didnt want anything for my birthday but I did want to try out this resturant that I had seen and liked the look of . This morning ,no presents . This is the first year ever that I have never recieved anything .But strange thing is I am not too bothered ,I did say i didnt want any thing and he took me at my word . LOL .Has this happened to anyone else or is it just me .

Happened to me first birthday with DH (then bf obv). Asked what I wanted, being polite I said I didn't know. He said "if you don't tell me you won;t get anything". He meant it.

No the thing is I am not bothered and what I am asking is would it bother any one else.

It would bother me, but then I would never say don't get me anything! I'm like that woman who was disappointed by "insufficient fuss" on her birthday.

I thought it would bother me but strangly it dosnt . Weird . It is probably down to giving up stressfull nanny job and now working very part time at sons school .Basically appreciating my family more I suppose. But I didnt say to my mother I didnt want any thing and she hasnt bothered no card either . Ha ha I will just lay a guilt trip on her when she nexy phones . LOL

It wouldn't bother me! dh never gets me presents for birthday/christmas etc. But then I don't for him either!

it wouldn't bother me if I had said it. I would probably just say something like-you cantreat me whe I know there is something I want.
