You're welcome :) it's made such a massive impact on my life I'd go out of my way to encourage other people to do it.

I did do it full time with children yes, they were both in school on the days I was at college (Monday 9.30am - 4pm, Tuesday 9am - 3pm and Wednesday 9am - 1pm) and I also got a voluntary job at a local hospice which did wonders for my uni application.

Thats fab. 3 days is good it was 4 here.
Im worried they wont take me back now. Hmm I guess I will have to try my best!
There is another college not far from the other, its another coleggwent, maybe try there.
What uni are you at?

Great to read such a positive outcome chickenskin.

Op I've got my interview next week for an Access course. Forty here and lone parent too. Not sure how I'm going to cope with it as have also been reliably informed that it's very tough but I know that I'm at the right stage in my life to tackle it now. Already started math classes in preparation and absolutely love it but, not afraid to speak out and ask when I don't understand, after all I'm there to learn.

Don't let your previous attempt put you off op, if you really want this then go for it!

Good for you goodoldme :-)
Good luck!
Let us know how you get on! I think being in the right frame of mind like yourself is very important.
Do you advise me to mention I started the course and left as I know the places are limited. I dont suppose they want time wasters, will they look upon me as one?
Or do I start from scratch and not mention this?
