Have been chatting to a guy I met on internet for a few weeks now and we are going out for dinner this week !!!!!

Am SO excited !! not looking for relationship, just some fun .... ds is going to Mums for the night .... real live male !!!

Must go and start defuzzing legs, been rather neglected for 6 months, (best part of being single mum) !!

I've been on lots of internet dates now and would suggest that you make sure you tell someone where you are going & give them as much information about your "date" as possible - including name & phone number.
I am sure your date will be a lovely man - but some aren't and only you can keep yourself safe.

Am getting dead nervous now, haven't been single for 12 years so feels very strange going to meet someone new!
Am thinking of wearing jeans, black top and heels - that sound ok?? We're going to a nice bar with comfy sofas etc. for dinner so nothing too posh but wasn't too sure if jeans are too casual or whether anything else looks like I've tried too hard!! Oooooh its so tricky!!!

I think your outfit sounds ideal, we are doing something similar tonight. I am a bit scruffy though as I have boots not heels and a relaxed shirt, mind you he is so keen I could wear a sack and he would think it brilliant. Bless him! I definitely have the clearer head!

soooo(not that Im at all interested at the moment) but which sites did you find these men who live locally?

Hes not that local - about 30 minutes away in car - but it was on Match.com. Not the kind of thing I ever thought I would do, but decided as I am limited to the amount of evenings out I can have (ie. cost of babysitters and very few single friends!!) this was the ebst way to meet people!

Went on there purely with the aim of making new friends, couldn't do it just for looking for proper relationship, but hey who knows??

30 mins is local enough

My chappy is getting under my skin and I didn't even notice it until this weekend, he met DS yesterday and was really lovely. Crikey, what have I let myself in for?! still, its all good.

Mrsmiggins, hope you find someone when you feel ready for it. Have to admit that I was quite prepared to give myself some time out from men so this is all quite unexpected!

Well the rearranged date went really well !!!

Met in a bar and chatted and chatted all evening and were the last ones out! Had a fab time and he texted me within an hour of leaving to say he wanted to see me again. We have arranged to meet again next weekend .... am sooooo excited!!
