Putting ironing away this morning and Dh's drawer got stuck so I pulled it all the way out to push it back again and there in a plain brown box was a rampant rabbit. Still in its box, although box opened, and delivery note dated last August. I confronted him and he started laughing and said it was a present for me and he just hadnt got around to giving it. The opportunity hadnt arisin. In the last 7 months!!! We get on well, although are always tired with the little ones. He works hard, great Dad, more than pulls his weight around house. I'm pretty sure he isnt seeing someone else (he's either at work or home and has been for one night out in last year). Would you believe him and forget all about it or is something seriously wrong? Have been thinking all sorts, closet gay being one of themSad.

Agree with the others. Let's be realistic: if he bought it for someone else, he's hardly going to bring it home with him again, is he?
If there was something like that happening, it would be incredibly well hidden.

He probably had an attack of bravado when he ordered it but then felt a bit embarrassed after it arrived. If you have never used any sex aids in the past, it probably isn't easy introducing them at this stage.

Good luck! :)

redwineandchocolate · 19/03/2012 01:23

He could have bought it to surprise you and then suddenly felt a bit intimidated by the all-powerful rampant rabbit and delayed it! Or he could have suddenly felt a little bit embarrassed? Although I am in no way a prude I have bought certain sex toys as a present for my bf or a sexy outfit etc and then put off using them or showing him for ages because I felt a little bit, well, silly IYSWIM. There could by myriad explanations to consider before you jump to a dodgy conclusion!

garlicbutter · 19/03/2012 01:40

I suppose the obvious thing to do is fetch it out yourself and give it a whirl.

FWIW, there's one in the back of my drawer, too. Bought it following a thread on here; it scares me half to death!

I'm a cynical ole bag (and didn't like his sideways dig at you) but don't see this as evidence of anything but second thoughts :)

I was believing him too, but then you mentioned his comment about not having sex that much and getting cross when you brought it up again. I wouldn't be happy with that reaction. I would want to find out how he feels about things in that department generally.

TheBestThingsInLifeAreFree · 20/03/2012 00:05

has it been used OP? I would give it the 'sniff check'. Wink

AnyFucker · 20/03/2012 00:47

Shock @ sniff check

op didn't come back

oh well, perhaps she is busy

< ahem >

UnlikelyAmazonian · 20/03/2012 04:16

I bet he switched it on, saw how bloody amazing it is, thought 'gah, she'll never want to shag me again as this thing is way way better ' and decided not to give it to you.

Does he ever feel a little inadequate between the sheets?

Is there a rabbit wedding anniversary, you know, like silver, gold, MDF, expanded polystyrene?:o

weevilswobble · 20/03/2012 06:10

Is it.....ahem....bigger than he is? He'd have second thoughts if he thought it was better than him! Also if it was something dodgy he'd have hidden it better.

garlicbutter · 20/03/2012 09:59

Grin echt! Sixth anniversary might be suitable - try to head off the 7-year itch with a battery-powered bedroom enhancement?
