Do you think it is appropriate for a gentleman friend to be calling a woman at nearly 12 at night?? I would never call a male friend at that time unless it was an emergency. Or do you think i'm being an old fuddy duddy?

Sounds like gentleman friend is after a booty call.

FetchezLaVache · 10/03/2012 23:45

If it's just for a chat, I don't think it's appropriate for anyone to be calling anyone else at that time of night, irrespective of sex. Are you the callee or the caller's partner?

mummakaz · 10/03/2012 23:46

If I was awake then no I wouldn't mind but would probably panic thinking something has happened to someone. I would be pissed off if he woke me up though

SorryMyLollipop · 10/03/2012 23:51

I agree with AKiss - booty call

Just1willdo · 10/03/2012 23:55

I was up when he called but it did startle me because i thought something happened to him. After chatting briefly i realised there was nothing wrong, i did tell him i'm off to bed now then he sort of sounded like he was a bit annoyed.

I agree - tis for sure a booty call - possible in disguise! ! :)

MissKeithLemon · 10/03/2012 23:56

'possiblY'

Just1willdo · 11/03/2012 00:05

Why do always attract the booty callers?? I am way too old..lol

You're never too old for a booty call.

akaemmafrost · 11/03/2012 10:16

It depends, if he's scrummy then it's not inappropriate Grin, if I don't fancy him then yes it is!

ImperialBlether · 11/03/2012 10:20

He was annoyed because you wanted to go to bed? That says everything. Who the hell does he think he is?

lazarusb · 11/03/2012 22:10

You are obviously stunningly gorgeous and he is desperate to be with you Wink
But yes, phoning at that time of night would annoy me.

Starwisher · 11/03/2012 23:07

Maybe something has happened and he needed someone to confide in?

AnyFucker · 11/03/2012 23:10

if someone calls me after 10pm I assume an accident or trauma of some sort

yanbu

well, unless I'm a fuddy-duddy too, which is perfectly possible

I do think it rude though, and I guess it's up to you if you want to take the call, but more importantly, swallow the perceived criticism that you were being a bit prune-like to not welcome the intrusion

MeltedChocolate · 11/03/2012 23:21

If you are not single totally inappropriate. If you know this person very well, are close, he knows you are up at that time and knows that you love a good blether on the phone then no, not inappropriate. Anything else in inappropriate unless emergency.

BackforGood · 11/03/2012 23:38

Nothing to do with the relationship IMO, calling anyone at that time of night is totally out of order, if there's no emergency.

Just1willdo · 14/03/2012 21:58

MeltedChoc..I am single and i did fancy him, not anymore after that fiasco. He's never called back either, blooming perv!!
