Romance for the MAN in your life???

I'd like to do something special for my husband.

Woman are easier (probably I'm biased being a woman so can see perfectly well what us ladies like), but pampering, choc's, flowers, sparkles its not rocket science.

But for a fella - what would a man like that would make him go 'wow'!

I'd like it to be a suprise. He works away so I have plenty of time to organise it.

We have small children and his return is often about giving me a break from the house and the kids, or spending quality family time together, but we rarely get any time just as a couple.

Thought of a nice meal out and 'raunchy' something - but what?

Please ideas desperately needed. x

get the kids a babysitter, take him to his favorite place to eat (offer to pay but if he wants to let him, its a man thing)

then back home/to a hotel for sexytime?

redhead24 · 05/03/2012 20:29

That simple?

Really want to wow him. Want to show him how special he is and how much I care.

Does he have any hobbies?

I.e. you could go race a car together or something?

PufftyMagicDragon · 05/03/2012 20:31

As far as im aware, DH is a creature of simple pleasures.

PurplePidjin · 05/03/2012 20:32

Dp says take him out to do an activity he'd enjoy - film, theater, gig, that sort of thing. A treat to let him know you appreciate him :)

SausageSmuggler · 05/03/2012 20:33

Could you do an experience day together? Something that's a bit different that you'd both enjoy?

Kayzr · 05/03/2012 20:34

I'm planning on doing similar when DP gets home from 10 weeks away later this month.

My DP would be more than happy with either a meal out or if I cooked a nice meal for him.

I'm also thinking of doing the whole romantic rose petals on bed and candles as he was away for Valentines day.

March 14th is Steak and a Blow job day.

redhead24 · 05/03/2012 20:45

Lol.... think hubby would like to know that March 14th is steak and blowjob day!!!!!

Men really are simple creatures - well hell why make it more complicated than it needs to be! lol

Maybe its just us woman who go for the WOW factor!

I wrote DH a long list of all the things I liked about him, big and small. He loves it :)

redhead24 · 05/03/2012 20:57

Ahhh now thats a lovely idea. I like that. I could pop it in an evelope and give it to him at the meal.

Now should I take him out for dinner or cook for him at home? Mmm less pressure if we went out as knowing me I'd go and cock it up and burn it! lol

He does like chocolates... mmmm

How to be saucey???? it's been so long lol think I've forgotton how!

RecursiveMoon · 05/03/2012 21:36

Oi, Tempted, it's not Friday yet Grin.

When DP goes away, I send him a card or put one in his bag to open while he's away. I'm at home with the DC and plenty going on, he's away and busy but lonely and really appreciates a little reminder (not that he needs one) that I love him and can't wait for him to come home again. I do this even if he goes away for three nights, not weeks, and on a long trip have been known to send him off with a bunch of cards, one for each morning that he is away. I write notes or sometimes quotes or excerpts from song lyrics that are relevant to us.

Even though I feel it is fairly predictable that I will do this, he still claims to be surprised and delighted when he returns to his hotel room to find an envelope pushed under the door.

Kayzr · 05/03/2012 21:58

Piella that's really lovely. Smile
